I am always keen to try new skincare products and am yet to find the perfect foundation, so I was pleased to be sent Inika Organic Liquid Foundation to try.

I have combination skin, oily around the T zone and dry everywhere else so finding a good product that won’t dry me out or make me shiny can be a challenge. My skin is pale and because of this any blotches or blemishes are highly visible, so good coverage is important to me. The website advised that the foundation is suitable for all skin types so I was hopeful it would be a good match for me.

Firstly I chose my shade which can be problematic from a website rather than testing in person. I was pleased to see a inclusive good range from fair to dark skin. I match closest with porcelain. The foundation arrived safely packaged in shredded paper in a cardboard box which is fair to say was bigger than necessary but all recyclable.

The presentation box the foundation arrived in is black and gold and looks high end and luxurious. The brand is organic, vegan and not tested on animals, which are all important factors. I was also pleased to see the product is hypo allergenic as my skin can be sensitive.

The foundation itself is in a pump action bottle, one pump is enough to cover the full face, I applied using a foundation brush, I was pleased with the colour match which was accurate to the pictures and description on the website and the coverage was good but did benefit from use of a primer first, endurance was good and seemed to stay put all day and blended well. I was pleased with the finish, it did not make my skin greasy and shiny or dry. Overall I was pleased with the foundation both as a product and the company for their ethical values.

The foundation retails from the Inika Organic website for £33 for 30ml which is about the maximum I would be happy to pay and competitive to similar products on the market.

The product stands out because of its ethos, I love that the ingredients are 100% natural and the foundation has other ‘perks’ such as Hyaluronic acid for skins elasticity, argan oil for anti aging and green tea extract for acne and other skin issues.
The only thing missing for me is that I do tend to go for products that contain SPF but that is just personal preference.

The Australian grown company have obviously taken great care to ensure their products are natural and organic and ethically sourced, a great make up brand for those who are environmentally conscious and hold Halal or Vegan values.

There is a full range of make up products available for face, eyes and lips and skincare too. It was easy to waste time on the website checking out the vast range of items.
