I was delighted to have the Infantino 3-in-1 Sit, Walk & Ride Unicorn delivered to me this week as a review item – what a delightful Christmas surprise!
With the recent popularity of all things unicorn, this is guaranteed to be a huge hit with the younger members of the family.
Presented in a well-illustrated box, it was immediately easy to see the functions of this toy and its adaptability for different ages from pre-walkers to adventurous toddlers.
On opening the box, I was delighted at how bright and colourful the toy was. As with many of these types of items, some construction was needed. The enclosed instructions were quite easy to follow, although I found some of the pieces tricky to snap together – especially the head section. It may be good to construct the item before giving it as a gift as it would be difficult to assemble while being ‘helped’ by a toddler! Having said that, once assembled the toy was very sturdy.
The toy can either be used as a ride-on toy or a push along walker with a handle that conveniently folds under the seat. A brilliant feature is a control level on the wheels so that the wheels turn slower for less confident walkers. Younger babies can enjoy the hands-on, push button activities. There are numerous functions including music as you walk along, random sounds, bright flashing lights and coloured buttons. Such a great interactive toy for youngsters. It even has a volume control which I’m sure many parents will appreciate! A ball popping mechanism whereby the coloured balls can be scooped up and pop back out of the unicorn’s mouth is another good feature.
A very solid, fun toy which is well designed to entertain the children. My 18-month-old granddaughter loved it and her 4-year-old sister has just as much fun catching the balls and feeding the unicorn!
With its light up horn, this magical unicorn makes an ideal Christmas gift that with grow with your child from 6 months to 3 years or beyond.
A magical 4.5 star rated toy.
