Ickle Bubba Teepee Playtime 2 Piece Play Bundle Review

I have been on the hunt for a children’s play tent or teepee for some time so was delighted to be chosen to review this playtime teepee from ickle bubba. Arriving in a simple yet sufficient cardboard box, with no excess packaging, I was keen to get this put up before my toddler came back from nursery. The teepee is contained within a handy fabric carry case and when dismantled folds down small, enabling you to do as recommended and take away with you. It is therefore also easy and compact to store.

The front label claims that it is made of 2 pieces. I would disagree with this as each of the 4 poles are made up of 3 put together with 2 plastic attachments and a non-slip base for each. The overall fabric part of the teepee is in one piece, with a separate playmat which attaches to create the floor of the teepee. Having said that the teepee was simple to assemble. It comes with basic but clear instructions to put up and took me just under 20 minutes from start to finish. The fiddliest part was sliding the poles into the teepee fabric, but the tightness of this gives a good finish once up.

I love the little details, such as the fabric ties to attach the mat to the edges and the little window cut out on the side wall of the design which is the perfect height for your child to look out of. You have the option of leaving the front sides (doors) down or tying one or both to the side for easier access for you child. It is a good size and whilst you need a certain size area to put it (it is for indoor use only), the size is well worth it for the delight on your little ones face as they can stand, and move around inside.

The overall look is authentic with the use of natural wood and cord wrap. The neutral and simple colour of the fabric means it will go well with any nursery or play area décor and is gender neutral. The teepee is advised for ages 3 years and up, although I think most toddlers would be able to safely play in this supervised if the cords are well tied, the detachable play mat could be separated and used with much younger siblings.

The design certainly has parents in mind, with the teepee and mat machine washable. Made from cotton (35%) and polyester (65%) the fabric is soft to the touch. Perfect for allowing your child to play freely without worrying about it getting dirty.

My little boy already has enjoyed choosing which toys to bring into his new den and he loves sitting in there surrounded by his soft friends. I can certainly imagine many hours of fun at home to come with this great addition to our home!
