Hugo Woman is described as “an unconventional blend of rich floral and daring fruity notes with an aromatic twist.” I found that this perfume is a light feminine scent which is sweet and fruity but with a masculine muskiness – making this a perfect scent for me as I do not like anything too sweet or floral smelling. It is a lovely perfume, ideal for day wear, as it is not a heavy scent. I would wear this during spring and summer.
The packaging is a striking red, with picture of a red bottle on it with a silver outline. The packaging is itself is quite masculine. Whilst it is stylish, attractive and very much with the style of Hugo Boss, it does not give any indication of how feminine this perfume actually is, which is misleading.
The bottle design is however a much softer design and looks very attractive on display. It is a simple design and as the bottle is a narrow width, it is quite handy to slip into handbag and perfect for taking out with you, if you want to refresh your scent.
I have found that I have only had to apply this perfume once during the day, the perfume is quite long lasting. This is great because the bottle will last ages! I have many comments from my friends and colleagues who have said how nice it is and asked what it is.
I really love this perfume and think that it is suitable for all different ages, not necessarily the younger age range that it is aimed at. It is reasonably priced for a good quality, long lasting, designer fragrance at £45 a RRP for 50ml bottle of Hugo Woman eau de Parfum. Making it accessible for a gift or a treat for yourself!
I am awarding this perfume 4 out of 5 stars, whilst I really like the perfume, I have reduced the score because of the outer packaging. If I was shopping for a perfume I would have made assumptions about it which were not correct, because I do love the smell and think that I have discovered a new favourite for my dressing table.
RRP: £35 (30ml), £45 (50ml) and £58 (75ml).
