Deep space adventures begin at the interactive HEXBUG nano® Space Discovery Station! This set forms part of the Hexbug Nano Space line and an awesome set for fans of sci-fi and all things spacey! Use your imagination to create a narrative for your nano® as they drive a rover and explore the surrounding area! Travel to another galaxy and step aboard the HEXBUG nano Space Discovery Station. Let your imagination take a hold of the story as your nano becomes a deep space voyager.
The set includes two Intergalactic Nano Bugs, equipped with corridors, Ion Cannons, buggies and spacesuits. My three children and I unpacked the set which came completely flat packed and allows one to set it up as you choose. The package contains a single leaflet to inform you what you can do with your station but very little provided in terms of setting up instructions, which allows the freedom of creativity. With various connecting areas and clips, you can choose how to create your very own Space Station. This set was created to inspire children’s interest in space, this deluxe set highlights elements of an epic space odyssey. You can dress your nano in a space suit, watch as it drives a rover and accesses the air lock passage. The playset comes with ion cannon and positionable satellite. As mentioned earlier, the set comes with two cool little Space-themed Hexbugs, and a host of fun activities for them to enjoy……long-range exploratory missions (since you are taking them to the final frontier, after all), there’s a customisable buggy, with a whole host of diverse attachments you can clip to it to meet any extra-terrestrial challenge! And of course, your little Nanos will need to be dressed for the rigours of space, so their awesome little Hexbug spacesuits will be ideal to help them explore this tremendous station to the fullest! All the pieces are made from durable materials so that you can keep adjusting your station as you see fit. The connecting clips are fairly tight and would require older hands to unclip pieces but very much required as the Hexbugs tend to locate areas that haven’t been connected properly. My children absolutely love it and I was amazed at the way the bugs take the vehicle out. This set makes a great gift for ages three and up and you will be thrilled know that batteries included so no nasty little surprises when your kiddies have opened the packaging and desperate to start playing but alas, no batteries are to be found.
My five year old’s school had given a home-school project to build the solar system and, once completed, my son inserted the Space Station as an extra added special effect which just brought it to another level entirely. The entire experience has allowed my children to investigate all they can about our own space station and space in general, reading as much as possible on Google and trying to replicate the stations.
This product is definitely worth every penny and I give it 10 out of 10 for ingenuity and quality!
