Head Jog Titanium Gold Waving Irons Review

Reviewed by Michelle Wright
My daughter could not hide her excitement when we unwrapped the two boxes of waving irons, sent to us to review.
The packaging screamed quality. The boxes were matt black with spot varnish branding printed on them with a metallic gold coloured seal in the middle where the two sections met. Excitedly we opened the boxes which revealed two sizes of wave irons for us to test; the largest being 32mm and the smaller 19mm (although I noted from the supporting literature that the smallest is actually 13mm in this range – fab for those corkscrew curls)! There are actually five sizes available in the range; 13mm, 16mm, 19mm, 25mm and 32mm.
The waving irons are very easy to use, although comprehensive instructions are included in each box. The irons are black and gold. Simply, the black is the area you can touch whilst using and the gold is the barrel which gets hot to create the waves. The iron has a temperature dial ranging from 120 to 230 degrees. So just plug in, set to desired temperature, stand on a suitable surface using the small stand, and wait to heat up. The irons heated up very quickly and by using the handle and small black tip on the end, are very easy to use.
This was our first time using waving irons so I am not sure who was more excited! We decided to test the larger of the two waving irons on my daughters long blonde, perfectly straight hair. By taking a small section of hair simply, anchor the end of the section into the iron and roll up stopping just before the scalp… And wait. When we unravelled her hair we were left with large soft curls on the tips which looked absolutely lovely when worked around her head.
The following evening we trialled the smaller waving iron, 19mm. This time I lifted up the top layers of her hair and worked with smaller sections. As you would expect, the smaller waving iron created tighter, smaller curls in her hair and as we worked our way round until we had created curls in all of her hair she was delighted with the results – so much so, it’s my job to do it before school tomorrow for her school photograph.
We couldn’t be more impressed with these products. They heat up quickly, have a long 3 metre cord so I can easily get around her hair, are so easy and simple to use, have a cut off feature after a hour and give fantastic results.
If you are looking for waving irons to use either at home or professionally in a salon, the range are from Head Jog are just perfect. They are cool, stylish and professional – a great product that has been designed well and packaged beautifully.
