Harry Potter Fan Club Pin Seeking Shops Of The Wizarding World Enamel Pins Set Review

Reviewed by Claire Giles

Due to the popularity of the Harry Potter books and film franchise there are a massive amount of Harry Potter fans out there both adults and children alike. I remember reading the books and watching the films with my oldest daughter who is now sixteen and I have just re-watched the films again with my youngest who is nine. They are definitely books / films that will past the test of time. We own a lot of Harry Potter merchandise and my youngest daughter goes nowhere without her Hedwig owl teddy! She is a major Harry Potter fan and was so excited when she opened the packaging the pins arrived in and saw the words Harry Potter on the box.

The pins come displayed in a beautiful blue box that looks almost magical with all the gold embossing making it really stand out. The box is covered with little stars and has a symbol on each side that corresponds with a pin inside the box. On opening the box I was very surprised at the quality of the enamel pins inside. The pins were a lot bigger and heavier than I was expecting.

Each pin portrays one of the shop fronts from the Wizarding World. These are:
Outside Weasleys Wizard Wheezes
Outside Honeydukes
Outside Madam Malkin’s Robes for all Occasions
Outside Eeylops Owl Emporium
Outside Quality Quidditch Supplies
Outside Ollivanders

The detailing on the pins is superb and very intricate showing owls in the Emporium shop window, wand boxes in Ollivanders shop window and golden snitches and broomstick in Quality Quidditch Supplies shop window. Each pin can be interlocked to create a shop street scene.

Anyone who has watched the films will remember Harry’s first trip to Diagon Alley with Hagrid for his school supplies and his wonder at seeing all the magical shops, Harry and his friends visiting Honeydukes in Hogsmeade to buy sweets and Fred and George opening their own joke shop after leaving Hogwarts. These
pivotal moments are recreated in these pins

The pins clip on securely to clothes but they are almost too nice to wear. They would look lovely on display either in the box or by other means.

There are many more Harry Potter Fan Club pins to seek out on the website including limited editions, Hogwarts House Collections and individual pins. The Hogwarts House Collections contain six pins each and retail at £50. The individual pins retail between £8.95-£14.95 each.

Shops Of The Wizarding World Pin Set retails at £59.95 which seems quite expensive but actually works out at less than £10 a pin and it includes a set exclusive Honeydukes pin. I am sure any Harry Potter fan, young or old, would love this set. It would make an ideal gift for any occasion and is a keepsake that will last a long time. My daughter loves the pins and likes to add them to her Harry Potter backpack and jumpers when going out.
