Three generations of the our family recently visited Gullivers Land Milton Keynes. There were 2 adults and 2 excited 8 year old girls in our party.
Staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Nothing was too much trouble. The site was clean and well cared for and there were plenty of toilet facilities and play areas scattered around the park. On the day we went they had run out of park maps, however there were plenty of maps displayed around the park. Whilst we were unlucky with the weather plenty of the rides were undercover so we had plenty we could still go on and stay dry.
Once we arrived headed straight for the Log flume which was unfortunately out of order. It was fixed quickly though and we enjoyed a ride on it later on. The children had several rides on the Python which they thoroughly enjoyed. Just before lunchtime it started raining heavily and so we went to the Castle to shelter and have lunch. The children enjoyed chicken nuggets and chips while the adults tucked in to a huge portion of cheeseburger and chips.
Much of the afternoon was spent on the Dodgems and Mouse ride. Unfortunately the children’s car ride was closed just as we got to the front of the queue due to rain but this is to be expected in cases of bad weather. The children then insisted on going on the pedal planes over and over until the cars ride was working again. They then went back on the Python for more rides. The rain finally stopped and the sun came out. The Runaway train was a firm favourite with everyone.
Before leaving the park the children visited the shop to buy something with the money they had with them. We did not get to try out all the rides as the children seemed to enjoy a particular ride and go on it over and over again. We thoroughly recommend a family day out at Gullivers World. Whilst we did not watch any of the live shows there was plenty on to entertain the children. We are all hoping to visit again soon and the favourite ride of the day was definitely the log flume. If you are planning several visits in the same year do look in to their Season passes, details of which are on their website www.gulliversfun.co.uk/milton-keynes. The Spashzone is also worth a visit.
