On Erin Island (Ireland) an alien craft crashes to Earth and the occupants are thirsty for blood.

When people start to disappear in the sleepy coastal town Garda Ciaran O’Shea (Richard Coyle) and his over eager new recruit Garda Lisa Nolan (Ruth Bradley) start to investigate.

After finding a dead alien they soon discover that they need two things to survive – water and blood, but the blood has to be pure with no alcohol.

As a very heavy storm is approaching that with give the aliens all the water they need to go out and drain the townspeople of their blood. They have to get everyone drunk and stay drunk until the storm passes to save the inhabitants of the town from these blood-sucking while trying to find a way to kill the creatures.

Overall, an enjoyable comedy horror even if the way to survive is for an Irishman to have a drink is a rather silly storyline. With some good effects and gore and comedy it is worth watching.
