Golf 4 Heroes

Golf 4 Heroes Off To A Flying Start
More than 200 clubs around Europe have signed up for the new Golf 4 Heroes project and it is continuing to grow at a phenomenal rate.
The scheme was formed by Your Golf Travel.com in association with Battleback, a tri-service initiative which uses sport to aid the rehabilitation of wounded personnel.
Support so far has exceeded all expectations with a host of top venues including Goodwood, Sundridge Park, Burhill, St Enedoc and La Manga Club among the high-profile venues on the growing list.
The campaign, which includes Prime Minister David Cameron and world number two golfer Lee Westwood among its backers, set a target of getting 1,000 golf courses to each pledge two complimentary green fees per week for members of the Golf 4 Heroes scheme, to use as a way of thanking Britain's bravest golfers for the sacrifices they have made on the country's behalf.
Your Golf Travel.com has also facilitated UK breaks and overseas trips to the La Manga Club and Villataina resorts in Spain, and is providing further support to the Golf 4 Heroes campaign via an online auction with 11 great golf trips available, including a trip to the 2012 US Masters.
Ross Marshall, chief executive of Your Golf Travel.com, said: "So far, the scheme has received tremendous support from golf clubs up and down the UK and overseas.
"It's fantastic that so many injured servicemen across the country can now benefit from the scheme on a grand scale. Giving just two tee-times a week really does make a huge difference.
"We are delighted that it has received such a warm response from the industry and we're certain that there are plenty more who will sign up to this great cause. I'm positive there are big things to come."
