Ghost the Musical closely follows the 1990 Hollywood blockbuster starring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore. It is the fantasy love story of the ghost of Sam (Stewart Clarke) steering his girlfriend Molly (Rebecca Trehearn) from danger through the physic, Oda Mae Brown (Wendy Mae Brown).
The performance has a good balance of emotion, from tugging your heartstrings to great comedy moments. Wendy Mae Brown is hilarious playing the colourful character, Oda Mae Brown and lifts the show. Stewart Clarke is very consistent through-out and memorably sings The Righteous Brothers' classic Unchained Melody in ‘the pottery’ scene.
In all honesty there is nothing to fault in the show but the visual effects definitely top the bill.
The King’s Theatre is a beautiful theatre with a great atmosphere although rather on the warm side!
