Amazing! Beautiful! A Perfect Night!
I took my Mum to watch Gareth Malone and his choir Voices perform at the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend-on-Sea, Essex on Thursday night, it was the second night of their 2015 tour and we had second row seats.
We parked with ease on the seafront and walked a few hundred steps up to the theatre, we collected out tickets from the box office and found our seats. The queues to pre-order interval drinks were very long so we went straight to our seats. In the interval the bar was crowded but we got our drinks quite quickly.
The songs performed by Gareth Malone and his choir Voices were a great mix of new, old, festive and lullabies. We had a sing-a-long to Sam Smith’s Stay With Me, we listened to two of Gareth Malone’s own songs (one sung by him and one sung by one of the ‘voices’ singers), a festive five minute medley with Christmas jumpers being worn by the choir, a beetles medley sung by Gareth himself, the opening song from Frozen (Vuelie) and lots more!!
Gareth Malone introduced each song and solo singer – it was a very relaxed atmosphere and we felt we got to know them all. They were all fantastic singers and a few beatboxers amongst them – a great touch to some of the songs performed. I don’t want to give it all away so book up!
A great show – one not to be missed.
