Frankie & Benny’s Stafford Review

Frankie & Benny’s in Stafford is located on a retail park with plentiful parking. The restaurant is set in an old Manor House with a garden area to the front. The restaurant is open from 9am till 11pm serving breakfast lunch and dinner.
Frankie & Benny’s have recently launched a new menu with 83 new dishes and a change in the oil used to prepare the meals so my family and I went along to try it.
The restaurant is open plan, you can see the chefs cooking in the kitchen. The restaurant is decorated in an American/Italian style.
The inside of the restaurant is flat so easy accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs and a lift takes you to the second floor where the toilets are situated.
We arrived at 11.30am and were quickly shown to our table. The children were given activity booklets and crayons to keep them busy. The Kids menu is very good value included is a main, dessert and refillable soft drink. Both my children had sausage and mash the servings were very generous and they really enjoyed it. For dessert they had ice cream and a refillable drink all for £4.25 which is bargain especially for quality food. The Kids menu is recommended for children up to the age of 11 and then there is a Juniors menu available for children with a larger appetite for £7.75.
There is quite a lot of choice on the adults menu so it took us some time to make our choice as there are so many yummy dishes to choose from. My husband chose steak and chips which is presented on a wooden board and the chips in a paper bag and looked and tasted delicious. I had the saltimbocca chicken which was chicken stuffed with salami with vegetables and a tomato pasta. This dish was one of the best I’ve tasted, the chicken was cooked to perfection and I really enjoyed it.
The steak was priced at £12.75 and the chicken dish £12.95 and although I felt they were a bit pricey, I would say it is definitely value for money as the food is top quality.
Being the school holidays the restaurant was very busy, this did not affect the service. The waiters were very attentive and friendly, regularly asking if we wanted refills on our drinks etc…
I would recommend Frankie & Benny’s to everyone, it caters for a wide range of appetites and with there being lots of choice on the menu there is something for everybody. I will be booking a table very soon to treat my children before the end of the school holidays.
