We have a Merlin Annual Pass and decided it to use it for a quick visit at the weekend and take our 2½ old twin boys and 9 year old daughter to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre as they love it there. With over 2 million LEGO bricks under one roof, there is more than enough to keep all three entertained.
On arrival there was barely a queue, which I found surprising for a weekend day. We missed out the photo opportunity and waited for the lift up to the first floor. We had also missed the Factory Tour so headed straight for The Kingdom Quest Laser Ride. My daughter loves this and took great delight in winning the most points. Whilst we did not buy the ride photo, several reasonable options we available.
We then tried to head for Merlin’s Apprentice, but both of our twins jumped into the LEGO Pits to build things (they love building blocks and LEGO). After being persuaded to leave the LEGO Pits, some of us went onto Merlin’s Apprentice and enjoyed pedalling up to high and seeing the lovely view of the attraction.
As we were only there for a short visit we decided to head home and left via the shop where one of my twins jumped into the car for a ride.
We all had great time and because of the Merlin Annual Pass we can visit as many times throughout the year as we want, whether for a short visit or a making a day of visiting all the attractions and 4D cinema.
All the facilities were clean and tidy and the staff are very helpful. Everybody had lots of fun and our Merlin Annual Pass makes it excellent value for money, but even if you are buying single day tickets prices start from £9.95 (if booked online, you can save lots of money this way).
