London’s Marwood Zoo has been bought by billionaire Media Mogul Rod McCain (Kevin Kline) for Octopus Inc. in Atlanta USA and demands that in-line with the rest of his businesses it must make at 20% profit.

Rollo Lee (John Cleese) is installed as the new director and decides that the way to increase profits is to get rid of all the cute and cuddly creatures and introduce a Fierce Creatures policy so that the zoo only has dangerous animals.

Rod’s idiot son, Vince (also Kevin Kline), and up-and-coming business executive Willa Weston (Jamie Lee Curtis) are sent over to take over the zoo and increase profits with corporate sponsorships and other money making schemes.

The zoo keepers and handlers are in uproar, these include Michael Palin, Robert Lyndsey and Ronnie Corbett, and set to first proof their cuddly creatures are dangerous and when that fails they try to prove that the new policy is a danger to the public.

With the zoo threatened with closure Rollo, Willa and the zoo keepers are in a fight to save their beloved zoo and animals.

Overall, Fierce Creatures is an excellent hilarious comedy. John Cleese as the bumbling idiot zoo director that Willa and Vince think has loads of women on the go is just brilliant. Packed with lots of hilarious situations, misunderstandings, sexual innuendos and lemurs it is non-stop fun.
