Fabulosa Cleaning Range Review

Reviewed by Amanda Gazzard

I am loyal follower of a certain female individual who has made a household name for herself purely by sharing her cleaning tips and tricks online, and why not. Cleaning is now something that most of us have emersed ourselves in following the lockdown we endured back in March 2020. Up until recently I am afraid to say I have never tried Fabulosa and tended to go for the bigger named brands, but let me assure you after testing these products out, I can categorically say that my future purchases will now include the Fabulosa range.

I am reviewing the following products today: Anti-bacterial wipes, all in one disinfectant spray, Spray and Wear, Mini Fabulosa disinfectant, Fabulosa Concentrated Disinfectant (So-Mojito & Swoony Lagoony)

Anti-bacterial wipes – Fragrance Wild Rhubarb
Wild Rhubarb is a combination of green rhubarb leaf with peach, raspberry, strawberry and background hints of Jasmin, rose & musk. It has a sweet smell of peach and raspberry with undertones of rhubarb, trust when I say it smells delicious.

The Anti-Bacterial Wipes are perfect to use anywhere around the home. They are bleach free and are antibacterial & virucidal cleaning action which eliminates bacteria, cold & flu virus, dirt, and grime from any hard surface. I used these to wipe down my 2 bathrooms, which included the toilet and sink areas. They were moist and the wipes themselves did not dry out in seconds and left a pleasant aroma, long after I finished cleaning. It does advise to test inconspicuous areas before using and these can not be flushed down the toilet. These do have positives, but I don’t think I would use these as part of my everyday cleaning routine mainly due to the environment. For a quick clean of a surface if out and about these would be ideal.
RRP £1.89 – 80 wipes

All in one Disinfectant Spray – Fragrance Wild Rhubarb

This has the same fragrance as the anti-bacterial wipes, but I found it to be slightly stronger. I am not sure if this is because it was a spray. I would advise to test inconspicuous areas before using as per the instructions on the packaging.

The All in One spray kills 99.9% of bacteria. You can use it in bathrooms, kitchens, mattresses, car seats and upholstery to name but a few.

You simply shake the can, hold at about 15cm away from the surface and apply evenly. There is no need to wipe and its dry’s quite quickly. I did not find a sticky residue after. With it being a 400ml can it does last a long time. Value for money, with a great lasting fragrance.
RRP £1.79

Spray & Wear – Fragrance Electrify
Electrify is a warm oriental spicy fragrance with hints of pink pepper, orange blossom and pear leading to a heart of Jasmin and coffee and a sumptuous base of patchouli, vanilla, and cedar. I must admit it is hard to describe this fragrance. It is truly scrumptious; it is not overpowering with Vanilla or cedar. I loved spraying this on clothing. I would advise to test inconspicuous areas before using as per manufactures advice.

I have never used a spray and wear product before and was a little sceptical. Fabulosa states the spray and wear range refreshes clothes and fabrics while eliminating 99.9% of Bacteria which could cause unpleasant smells. It provides a Wrinkle Free System and is gentle on clothes and other fabrics.

You literally spray from around 20-25cm distance on fabric in a sweeping motion, allow to dry and then your good to go. I am not 100% convinced it would reduce an un-ironed item of clothing, maybe more if a piece of clothing had been worn previously, as it slightly reduces that worn look, but I did not notice a huge difference. The major bonus is the fragrance as it did last all day and I even had compliments on my perfume, I was not wearing any!!! I can see the benefits with the spray and wear as it would reduce you having to deal with a mountain of washing especially when an item of clothing may have only been worn for a short time and is not dirty. Anything to reduce this task is a huge bonus in my book.

RRP £1.15 250ml

Mini Fabulosa disinfectant – Fragrance Fruity Patooti
Fruity Patooti is a combination of peach, pineapple, orange, lemon, pear and strawberry. If you love the fragrance of peach, then this would be your go to fragrance.

This mini disinfectant is ideal to take on the go, literally. Simply shake and then spray the area to be cleaned, with the pump action spray. Wait for 60 seconds and wipe clean. Handy for things like shopping trolleys and toilet flushes. Gentle enough for your children’s toys, especially if they drop them when out and about. It Kills 99.9% of Bacteria and ideal for when you’re out & about! There are approximately 100 sprays in one bottle, so a lot goes along way.
RRP £0.99 60ml

Concentrated Disinfectant – Fragrance So-Mojito & Fragrance Swoony Lagoony
So, I tried and tested both fragrances. They are both a concentrated disinfectant, with a 4 in 1 action. This means you can use it in multiple ways. I used mine to soak my dishcloths overnight in the sink with boiling water and with 1 capful of disinfectant. This filled the house with the fragrance and into the morning, I also used it diluted in warm water to wash the floors. There was no sticky residue left behind and everywhere that I cleaned had a lovely fresh fragrance. A 220ml bottle will make approximately 10 litres of disinfectant. It is recommended to test areas before using and it is not suggested for this product to be used in food contact areas do the scents are highly perfumed and it could taint the food.

So Mojito is inspired on the classic cocktail and did have the fragrance of the cocktail with lime undertones. Swoony Lagoony is also inspired by the Blue Lagoon Cocktail. It has undertones of Pineapple. If I had to choose on fragrance alone then my first choice would have to be So Mojito. It had more of a zesty fragrance, but I appreciate this is personal choice.

This is a multi-purpose disinfectant that kills 99.9% of bacteria and is a versatile must have to any cleaning cupboard.
RRP £1.15 220ml

Overall I was very impressed by all of the products I reviewed from the Fabulosa range and from checking their website out, they also produce lots of other cleaning products in so many different fragrances that I do not think you could ever get bored. I think the challenge you would face is which one to try next.  Fabulosa is definitely value for money and you will not be left disappointed.

I would like to add I used rubber gloves when using any cleaning products as long term use on bare skin could cause irritation and as I have sensitive skin I can not advise on how this would fare on bare hands.

I rate the overall product range 5 out 5 stars.
