I really enjoy using good skin care products, it does not need to be expensive as long as it does the job. I was very happy to review a moisturiser make-up primer moisturising mask from Embryolisse.
The main ingredients contain emollient oil and a combination of active ingredients from natural origins: shea butter, beeswax, aloe vera and soy protein. It is also paraben free. I can distinctively smell the emollient oil; the smell reminds me of cream my daughter-in-law uses for her troubled skin.
I followed the instructions, I cleaned my skin, made sure it was dry and then applied a small amount. It can be used as a make-up base or a moisturiser. I used it as the later. The cream does have many uses, it can be used both day and night as a cleanser for this a generous amount is required. It can even be used as a moisturising mask by applying a thick layer. You can use it before shaving. It is for all skin types.
My initial thoughts were not good as I was not too keen on the smell, but the proof is in the testing. I have some dry patches on the skin on my face they tend to be worse once I start putting the central heating on, so I really wanted to see if this cream would help. I am happy to say I have been using the product for a week and I have noticed a slight improvement, I do think over a longer period of time this will clear up those dry patches. It does sink in well and has a very creamy texture.
The story of Embryolisse is really quite interesting. In 1950 a Parisian dermatologist specialising in skin diseases created the milk/creamy concentrate and sold millions worldwide. Now the company has a whole range of skin care products to help us men and ladies to have beautiful skin.
This cream has appeared in many top magazines all stating it is the celebs make-up artists must have.
You would expect this product to be very expensive however it retails at just £12.99 for a 30ml tube or £20 for 75ml. This price is on the Embryolisse website but a simple internet search will find you many deals. Quite a few online companies also offer free postage.
There is so much information on the web about this cream, there are even YouTube clips on how to use it. Make sure you sign up for their newsletter so you do not miss out on any offers.
I am awarding this 4.5/5 stars as this is such a versatile cream at an amazing price.
RRP: £12.99 (30ml) / £20 (75ml)
