With Elements Boutique Spa gift sets there’s no need to feel like you are missing out on pampering yourself this lockdown when you can immerse your senses in the elements of nature in the comfort of your own home.
Elements Boutique Spa is an award winning Spa that opened in 2018 in Somerset. Founders Sara and Nick are thrilled to share their new range of products which have been developed with client wellbeing in mind. I always enjoy a spa day – there’s nothing more invigorating and relaxing than a day of indulgence with the special people in our lives but with times as they are it is important to find new routines and experiences that help us to feel indulged. This is exactly what the Elements Boutique Spa has in mind for us with the release of their gift sets enabling us to spa at home!

The Relax and Refresh gift set is one of a number of gift sets comprising ‘hero’ products from the Elements Boutique Spa range that can be bought individually from their Skin & Bodycare Collection or as part of a set. The Relax and Refresh gift set (£46) comprises Earth Body Oil (150ml), Muscle Balm (100ml) and Cleansing Balm (100g). They are all packaged in a sophisticated brown glass bottle or jar inside a branded box, perfect as a gift or a treat for you. All products are vegan, natural and cruelty free and suitable for all skin types which is something that I really seek out in the products I purchase – no SLS, parabens, etc and all in recyclable packaging. The range takes inspiration from nature and creator Sara is keen to inspire clients to embrace their senses of touch and smell in mindful skincare and relaxation routines. Sara sent the gift set with a lovely, handwritten note which made me feel they really care about their products having a positive impact on their clients.

The Earthy Body Oil is one of four oils (Earth, Fire, Water and Air), each with their own aim of creating a feeling from their aromatherapy properties. I used it as a moisturiser for my face and body and really enjoyed the lasting, spa-like smells of patchouli, geranium and vetivert. It felt like a real indulgence. The oil helped to calm a patch of dry skin on my knees and was gentle enough to use on my face as well. It contains vitamin E and evening primrose oil, both of which have soothing and calming effects. My daughter was feeling a bit anxious so I used the oil to massage her ankles and feet and she said “it smells soothing and its making me feel mindful” which I completely concur.

The Cleansing Balm contains moisturising birch oil, elderberry oil and grape seed oil. It comes as a balm in a jar. With the wooden applicator I scooped out a little of the balm, warmed in my hands and smoothed over the skin on my face and neck, inhaling the gorgeous, relaxing smells. Then with wet finger tips I massaged the oil in to cleanse the skin. I then removed with a warm, damp cloth. They recommend a facial moisturiser or oil to follow but I used the Earth Body Oil from the gift set to moisturise with afterwards. This whole experience made me feel pampered and the smell of the products lasted and created a feeling of relaxation and calm whenever I smelled them afterwards. My skin was left feeling extremely nourished, smooth and supple. I have used the cleaner and oil daily as part of my bedtime routine which has made me feel thoroughly spoiled and de-stressed before I hit the hay.

I used the Muscle Balm for massaging a niggly ache on my neck, my partner’s achy legs after a run and I even managed to acquire a relaxing foot massage in exchange. Its consistency is like a gel and really easy to apply from the jar: a little goes a long way. The gel left the soles of my feet feeling very soft too which regular moisturisers don’t. The Muscle Balm contains essential oils of rosemary, eucalyptus and peppermint which helps relieve aching and tired muscles and I found this to be true – it smelled invigorating yet soothing. The whole gift set was a real indulgence and I would definitely recommend it as a gift or personal treat.

Elements Boutique Spa products can be purchased from their website and many also from Holland and Barrett either in store or on line. The Cleansing Balm retails at £22, the Muscle Balm at £18 and the Earth Body Oil at £25 or all three together can be purchased as the Relax and Refresh Gift Set for £46.00.
