ABOUT EDEN’S BLOOM
A brief introduction to the company if you have not heard of them. The following paragraph has been taken from the company’s website with a link for further information.

Eden’s Bloom started when new parents Eva and Darren struggled to find quick and easy meals that were healthy, delicious, and adventurous. So, they made it themselves.

Eden’s Bloom now offers 12 fussy-eater-busting flavours that don’t only taste great but help grow young adventurous foodies. Click here for further information.

PACKAGING
The variety of food came in a delightful heavy duty decorated box that was well presented. Upon opening it, there is information about the products, along with how to make them. On the base of the box inside is the information to a couple of their social media pages.

The sachets of food were very well wrapped in lovely heavy duty tissue paper, with colours of blue, pink and white. The images were cute and were of strawberries, apples, beetroot and pineapple.

There is also an information leaflet about the Eden’s Bloom and their mission. A comparative table of their food and other baby foods. There is also information on how to prepare the food along with the 3 stages of their baby food, 6 months, 9 months and 12 months.

ABOUT THE FOOD
The food is powder formed from freeze drying raw vegetables and fruit. *There is more information below about this which I have taken from the company’s website to give you a more detailed explanation about it.

*The traditional baby food manufacturing process is essentially a process of combining pre-made purees, that are mixed to create the end product you get on the shelves. Most often you will see similar variations of products sold by different brands as the variety of pre-made purees are limited. The preservation process of these products is achieved through heating, often referred to as thermal processing, it involves applying heat to food items to kill harmful microorganisms, enzymes, and other pathogens, thereby extending the shelf life of the food. Freeze drying is considered as a superior preservation method to thermal processing for several reasons. Firstly, freeze drying preserves the nutritional content and flavour of food better than thermal processing, which can degrade certain nutrients and alter taste.

What is freeze-drying? – *This information was provided by the client
Used by astronauts and adventurers for many years, freeze-drying, also known as lyophilization, is a widely recognised, safe and effective way to preserve nearly all of the nutritional value of fresh foods. In fact, it has been used by astronauts and adventurers for years to ensure they receive complete, nutritionally balanced meals that can be made in seconds. The raw ingredients in Eden’s Bloom have each been freeze-dried and then stored in powder form. Adding water, milk or plant-based milk to this, then rehydrates it for eating. In comparison to dehydrating and canning foods, freeze-drying preserves the most nutrients. The process ensures that Eden’s Bloom meals naturally contain the vital building blocks for infant growth including calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, vitamin A & vitamin C.

*All meals have no added salt or sugar, no hidden preservatives or nasties, just 100% natural ingredients. All products are also allergen free* (*Allergens: Peanuts / Fish / Nut / Milk / Egg / Wheat / Shellfish / Soybean / Crustaceans).

We have a 7 month old in the family and have started to wean him on to some baby food, so the food from Eden’s Bloom has come at the right time.

There are far too many products out there on the market that are cheap, nasty and full of colours and preservatives and we did not want anything like that. Eden’s Bloom is the complete opposite. We love the concept of the items all being Plant Based, Organic, Allergen & GMO Free, Organic and more. Please see below under Good To Know. This was really important to us to make sure that he was being weaned onto good, healthy and natural foods with the added benefits of healthy and balanced ingredients.

What is great about these products is that they make it super easy for when you are on the go, out and about and visiting friends and family. They can be eaten hot or cold. They are super easy to make too:-

Pour contents of sachet into a bowl
Mix with 80ml of water of plant based milk – This can be kept in a chilled or thermal bottle when out and about
Mix until thick and it is ready to give to your little one. You can add less fluid if you wish for a thicker consistency

I have to say, they were really tasty, the usual, heat test on the lips if it was a hot dish and you could not help but try it and they were scrummy yummy in my tummy, let alone the little man’s tummy LOL… He loved them. At no point did he screw his face up or look at you as if much to say ‘yuk, what is that’. He really could not eat it quick enough. We were so glad and happy to see him enjoy this array of different flavours from the bundle we were sent and they are definitely on our list to purchase.

The sachets with the banana in it was just like eating a banana. The banana, pineapple, mango and coconut was delicious, there was a hint of the pineapple and mango, although, I could not taste the coconut. The strawberry and Beetroot was just like eating strawberries, yum! I could not really taste the beetroot.

Even if you do not have children young enough to try it and have family or friends that have little ones, you can treat them to this bundle and introduce them to this amazing brand healthy and nutritional brand of food.

Take a look at their blog, it is amazing. From nutritional information, fussy eaters to allergies and recipes. It is a really good blog to look at and the recipes are amazing. They are age dependant, so be sure to make sure that if you are trying out a recipe, it is age appropriate. We tried the Veggie Mash and it really did go down a treat. This was ideal for the age of 6 months upwards. Here is the recipe for it edensbloom.com
