Fashion designer launches new brand!

New fashion designer, Daisy Harris-Burland, has launched her pioneering brand, Dumpster Design, to a packed-out audience at premier designer-outlet location, Portsmouth's Gunwharf Quays.

Daisy, 20, who studied at Manchester, has always been fascinated by how you can take things that might otherwise be thrown away and use them to create a thing of beauty.

Her stand-out Dumpster Couture line does just that – whether made from table cloths, old train tickets or discarded promo flyers, each piece is a work of art in itself – while her ready-to-wear Dumpster Apparel range features one-off, highly bespoke pieces.

Companies have already been snapping up the opportunity to use Daisy's unique dresses to promote their brands and sponsored many of the dresses shown on the night.

The dazzling fashion show at venue Highlight nightclub also played host to performances from up and coming rock band, Ivyrise, and street dance crew, Synchronize. And one ecstatic audience member won her choice of an exclusive item from the Dumpster collection, modelled in the two catwalk shows.
