We love Frozen in this house as much as the rest of you, so it was with great pleasure that I accepted the opportunity to review this puzzle ball. Not only is it a jigsaw (that you can make whilst listening to your favourite Frozen songs!), but you can build your very own memento of your favourite Disney film.

At first I thought the 3D jigsaw would be too difficult for my 6 year old to do alone (despite the age range of 6-10 years on the box). However, this jigsaw is made so well and the instructions so easy to follow that it was a very good activity for him to sit through and complete on his own. It was with great pride that he ran up to me to show me the completed globe.

We began by laying out all the pieces with the picture side down. They are in numerical order, so we put them out in rows of 10. Each piece has an arrow on it which shows where the next piece goes. However, after a few pieces, it was also easier for my little boy to look at the picture and put the next curved piece in. This jigsaw not only develops the usual skill of picture sequencing, but also develops numerical skills.

Each piece is made of a hard-wearing, quality, clickable plastic, so no glue is needed to stick this globe together. The finished product is very sturdy and the jigsaw comes with a round mount that you can use to show off your globe once completed, so that it can be used as a nice ornament in your child’s room.

We found it a little hard to break into the globe to put the pieces away – it would be a good idea for the adult to help at this point so the pieces aren’t forced.

CompletedFrozen3DAll in all a great activity that can be kept for show and then re-used time and time again.

The packaging is colourful, secure and the pictures on the cover clearly show you one of the pictures you will be making.

The age range that this product is suitable for is clear and the number of pieces (there are 72 pieces).

The instructions inside show (in pictures) how to put together this jigsaw and were really easy to follow. I explained to my little boy how to lay out the numbered pieces and then after a quick explanation, I was able to leave him alone to complete the puzzle.

Overall: a great educational and well-made activity for any Disney Frozen fan!
