I was sent a pair of gorgeous pre walker denim blue summer Bambooties for my 3 month old baby boy. They were all beautifully packaged in recycled and recyclable paper and box with a lovely little note explaining what they are made from and the good cause proceeds go to.
Not only do these boots look fantastic they are also very well thought out. They are so easy to put on and get off, so very practical for a busy Mum. They are extremely soft and open right up into three parts – the front and two sides. This allows you to open the boots wide and very easily slip your baby’s foot into it. Then snuggly wrap the sides up via Velcro for a tight but comfortable fit around your little one’s tiny feet. And because they are so secure and have a stretchy back means your baby can start wearing the boots when they are still a little too big but get great wear out of them as their feet grow into them. At three months my baby boy still has loads of room left in them but even when he has his crazy 10 minutes of kicking they have not fallen off. They are also made from 100% cotton so can be machine washed. So great for keeping them looking fab. And being made from reclaimed fabric it’s a great way to feel good about doing your bit to help reduce waste and safe the planet.
They look very stylish too in denim with cute white polka dots on the sole and a cool grey lining inside. The summer boots’ lining is a thin cotton for the warmer days while the winter boots have a thicker warmer lining for those colder days. They come in three sizes 0-6, 6-12 and 12-18 months. The winter boots also come in a fluffy cozy cream for babies 0-6 months. I will definitely be purchasing the winter boots for my little boy in a few months time.
As the boots are very neutral they look great with all his outfits. We have had lots of lovely comments on how cute they are each time he has worn them.
The boots are reasonably priced costing £20 of which £10 is for the boots, £5 goes to the seamstresses in India and £5 to women in need via ActionAid. They may be slightly more expensive than some options available but they are definitely worth the money. They are good quality, look and feel great and you are also contributing towards a very worthy cause as 100% of profits go to the charity ActionAid which provides care packages to mothers in need. So the ethical and charitable feel good factors are well worth spending the extra pennies alone!
I would certainly recommend these gorgeous boots to family and friends. Either as a lovely gift or just to keep you’re own little one’s feet snug. I would give these trendy little boots a huge 5 out of 5 stars.
