We all know that it’s that time of the year again when those with school going children start flapping about, preparing for the start of the new school year. From buying uniforms, book bags and shoes to washing, ironing and labelling it all BEFORE the first day but also, trying to enjoy the last few days with your children before the crazy busy year starts again. Apart from the expense of keeping them looked after / entertained for six whole weeks, now we have to fork at heaps of cash getting them all they need. This is definitely the most expensive time of the year for me and my family. Throw in four birthdays stretching from the 28th August to the 13th September, I genuinely don’t think even Christmas is as bad!! So when the opportunity came about for me abs my kiddies to try out some school goodies, I JUMPED at the opportunity! Every little bit helps right? Well, the package arrived and I was super excited to see the items! I got to try a pair of trainers, a tracksuit and a book bag. Colours were arranged with the supplier before the review. KIDS’ BACKPACK MH100 5 LITRES – RRP £4.99
I’ll start with my biggest disappointment which was the bag. The quality is great and so are the colours but, to be perfectly honest, I would not call the bag suitable for school at all. I couldn’t even put a water bottle in it and close the zip! Its designed to be carried on your back but the size is ridiculously small, I’m not quite sure what you would use this for, for school. Most items children use and take with are fairly large and bulky. You couldn’t even out a lunch bag in this one! Maybe consider a bigger size if you are needing a book bag or PE bag. My rating for this is 4/5 as the quality was still great, it was just the size.

KIDS’ WARM BREATHABLE TRACKSUIT S500 – RRP £14.99
Moving on, the tracksuit was made from decent material and the quality was great. The colours were great too, my only negative comment is the size of the top. I requested age 11-12 and my 11 year old son (who is very skinny and fairly small compared to his peers) found it too small. The sleeves were far too short and it was pretty tight around the chest so if you do use this supplier, make sure you order slightly bigger sizes. I rate this item 4/5 as the quality is fabulous, again, just the sizing that wasn’t great.

AT FLEX RUN CHILDREN’S RUNNING SHOES WITH LACES – RRP £19.99 was £19.99, Now £17.99, Save £2.00
The trainers are fabulous and lightweight. The colours are nice and bright and the size was perfect. My 9 year old son (who is as tall as his 11 year old brother) wears a size 5 shoe and this was ideal for him. He said they were super comfortable and supports his feet well as he is hard wearing on his shoes. He got them a bit dirty on an outing but it wiped clean easily with some wet wipes. And these were very cost effective. I rate this product 5/5.
