Clevamama Clevapure Himalayan Salt Lamp, Humidifier And Nightlight Review

Clevamama have created an all in one nightlight, humidifier and essential oil diffuser, with the added benefits of a Himalayan Salt Lamp. But let’s rewind, I am always on the look out for ways to support my families physical and emotional wellbeing, so when I was offered the chance to try the Clevamama Clevapure humidifier I shouted “yes please”. I already have a diffuser which I use in my lounge and I love the way I can change the essential oil to meet my mood but the Clevamama Clevapure humidifier offers much more than just the ability to make a room smell nice.

On opening the box I found the instruction leaflet, the base unit, light panel and diffuser unit, the lid, the power cord, two plugs (one three pin and one two pin), two spare bulbs, a bulb cover and a bag of Himalayan Salt Crystals. These special crystals are renowned for their abilities to help bring about and maintain restful sleep, every parents dream!

I set to looking at the instructions and found they were very simple and easy to follow, once I had opened the bag with the Himalayan Salt crystals I just had to arrange them in the base unit. Then pop the bulb cover on and sit the light panel and diffuser unit on top of the crystals. Due to the irregular shape of the crystals I found I had to move the crystals around a bit to make enough room for the bulb to sit in the middle of the top layer but it was very easy to do. I then plugged in the power cord once I had attached the correct plug and popped some filtered water in the diffuser. I chose lavender oil (not included) to use as the scent as I wanted my daughter to have the Clevapure in her room for bedtime and thought this would be very relaxing. I popped the lid on, and turned the power on at the wall. On the front there are two sensors, one for the light which has three brightness settings and one for the humidifier. The humidifier can be set to continuous operation, which gives you 6 hours from the 200ml tank, or, intermittent which allows for 12 hours of operation. By humidifying the air it is possible to ease congestion in stuffy noses and throats, and also reduce skin irritation, all whilst baby (or in my case child) sleeps. Although I used lavender to aid relaxation, you could use eucalyptus to aid decongestion, or, mint to cool the air on hot nights.

Things which I loved about the Clevapure: it was super quiet, it said ‘whisper quiet’ on the box but I’m never sure whether to believe what they say, this however is definitely true, the unit didn’t hum and was as I say super quiet, great for a nursery or bedroom. I loved that I could adjust the brightness of the light setting, the bulb is what I would call a warm yellow, this is then diffused through the Himalayan Salt which gives a really warm and gentle light. Being able to make it brighter or dimmer was great as my child is afraid of the dark this acted as a comforting night light. The humidifier will run for a maximum of 12 hours if on the intermittent setting so lasts basically all night, and should it run out of water it automatically switches off. There are no filters or parts which need replacing and it came with more than enough Himalayan Salt rocks to fill the chamber at the base.

The combination of Himalayan Salt rocks, the diffused light given off, the humidifier and the ability to add essential oils should you wish, all allowed my child to rest, reset and then drift off to sleep. Although these humidifiers appear to be aimed at babies I would say they would make an amazing gift for children of all ages. The Clevapure Humidifier looked visually appealing and was actually much better then I was expecting. It didn’t leak, made no noise or mess and didn’t take up a huge amount of space. I would consider buying it as a gift for children as I think it makes a lovely addition to a nursery or bedroom and it has practical application which can be seen from the first use.
