Now there are some that may think reviewing cleaning products is probably the worst thing ever. I have noticed from viewing social media sites that cleaning is now all the craze and as I am one of those that gets excited when a new product hits the shelves. I could not wait to try Dr Beckmann products, so as you can most likely guess when I opened the parcel to find Glowhite sachets, Glowhite Ultra sachets, Colour & Dirt Collector Cloth and Carpet Stain Remover, it felt like Christmas, please don’t judge.

Glowhite

Dr Beckmann’s Glowhite fabric whitener (RRP: £1.89) restores and retains the whiteness of your fabrics from the first wash. Working at temperatures as low as 20°C.

Inside the box are 5 prefilled sealed sachets which have a linen fragrance. Each sachet has a onetime use.

The directions are clearly displayed on the back of the packaging. After loading your washing machine as normal and using your detergents as normal you simply place a sachet on top of the clothing, close the door and start your machine.

The sachet does not disintegrate, instead the powder was all gone and what was left behind I simply put in the bin. There was no powder residue on any of the clothes.

These sachets are great for using on your everyday white wash to maintain the whiteness of your clothes. I have tested these for the last 4 white washes I have done so far and I have to admit I can see the difference in the whiteness of the clothing especially the school shirts as no matter how hot I have washed them over time I always felt they lost their colour. Well not any more as this is a product I will continue to use as I am very impressed by the results.

Glowhite ULTRA

Dr Beckmann Glowhite ULTRA fabric whitener (RRP: £2) contains an intensive formula which removes greying and yellowing of white fabrics. This intensive whitening treatment can be used to help revive dull whites in one wash.

Inside the box are 2x 40g prefilled sealed sachets. They do have a lovely linen scent.

The instructions could not be any clearer on the packaging which I loved. You literally load your washing machine, place a sachet at the back on top of your washing, and your normal detergents etc. and start your machine as normal. No fuss and no mess, perfect. You can set the temperature to as low as 20°c as the packaging claimed it still works. I normally wash my whites at a higher temperature to get them clean but on this occasion, I set the temperature at 30°c so was interested to see if there was any difference.

Wow! The results were clear to see as soon as I began emptying the machine. My daughter wears white socks for school, and I could instantly tell the socks looked so bright as if they were brand new. The stains underneath the socks were gone.

The sachet does not disintegrate, instead the powder was all gone and what was left behind I simply put in the bin. There was no powder residue on any of the clothes.

Overall this product does exactly what it says it does, restores dull greying white clothing back to life.

Colour & Dirt Collector Cloth

Eco-Friendly colour protection

Dr. Beckmann Re-useable Colour Collector Cloth (RRP: £2.99) is made from an ultra-absorbent fabric that absorbs and locks in TEN TIMES more colour than our regular sheet.

The directions are clearly displayed on the back of the packaging. After loading your washing machine as normal and using your detergents as normal you simply place the cloth on top of the clothing, close the door and start your machine.

Now I don’t know about you but when it comes to separating laundry I always struggle with mixed colours. I have used in the past Dr Beckmann’s colour and dirt collector sheets with success, but they are one time use only. This product claims you can reuse it up to 30 times before throwing it away.

I must admit I was dubious about testing this product as it resembles a large face flannel and I wasn’t sure how something reusable could have the same results as the one-time use sheets, but the results were surprisingly positive. The cloth came out after the first wash very grey which I was shocked with as the clothes I washed were not new clothes and had been washed many times before. The washing load consisted of red, black and stripped clothes. Now I have no idea how the Colour & Dirt Collector Cloth works its magic and I have used it several times now and each time the Colour & Dirt Collector Cloth has become duller, but the garments have remained perfect colour wise. This means that the Colour & Dirt Collector Cloth is working its magic as the colour and dirt is being locked onto the cloth rather than remaining in the water and going back onto all your clothes.

This is definitely a product I am adding to my shopping list.

Carpet Stain Remover 650ml

For carpets and soft furnishings in the home and car. Dr Beckmann Carpet Stain Remover (RRP: £3.59) uses its oxi powered formula and brush head attachment to get right to remove tough stains and odours from upholstery and carpets, in the home or car, and is ideal for pet owners

The bottle has clear instructions on the back on what to do and how to use. At the top of the bottle is a brush.

I tested the Carpet Stain Remover on my car seats as having young children I have noticed that my seats were becoming grubby and had some stains on from spilt drinks and some ground in food, please don’t judge it is not as bad as I am making it sound, honest.

After one use of the Carpet Stain Remover the stains were removed. The seats did not take a huge amount of time to dry which I was concerned over. It did leave a noticeable and pleasant fragrance once dry and I must admit lasted for some time. The only negative thing I can find about this product is the size of the bottle. At 650ml it is quite large, and I found it difficult to hold at times with using just one hand and as I was using it in the car the space to manoeuvre was limited. If cleaning a house carpet, then I feel this would be easier to handle.

With Spring just around the corner what better way to start off your spring cleaning. Your washing will be whiter than ever, your neighbours will be envious, your colours will be vibrant as though they are brand new and your carpets will be refreshed and ready to welcome guests!

Overall reviewing all these products has been a positive experience and I would highly recommend each of them as they all achieved the maximum results. I feel the RRP is justified for what you get in return.

I rate these products 5 out of 5.
