Christmas With The Rat Pack

The original Olivier Award-nominated West End Rat Pack stars are coming to Manchester’s Palace Theatre from Thursday November 17 – Saturday November 19 with Christmas With The The Rat Pack.

Take a trip back in time in the company of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin & Sammy Davis Jr to the glamorous, glitzy nights of Las Vegas in the late 1950s and early 60s. Supported by the fabulous Burrelli Sisters and The Rat Pack Big Band, you will experience Frank, Sammy & Dean as they performed at the famous Sands Hotel.

Christmas with the Rat Pack – which is now almost as traditional as mince pies and mulled wine – features a host of seasonal classics including Baby it's Cold Outside, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Let it Snow, Let it Snow, White Christmas, Winter Wonderland & Auld Lang Syne alongside the unforgettable Witchcraft, Mr Bojangles, I've Got You Under My Skin, That's Amore, Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime, New York, New York, Fly Me to the Moon, Sway, Volare, Me And My Shadow, My Way, Memories Are Made Of This and many more.

The Sands Hotel was the very height of Las Vegas sophistication. It was there in 1960, during the filming of the movie Ocean's Eleven, when for the first time Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr, Joey Bishop, and Peter Lawford performed together on stage. From then on, they were forever known as The Rat Pack. Las Vegas was their playground and everywhere else was known, in Rat Pack vocabulary, as ‘Dullsville, Ohio’. Frank, Sammy & Dean were a force to be reckoned with, an inexhaustible energy that is as apparent in their music today as it ever was. This spectacular production celebrates the incredible singing talent of three world-famous entertainers and performers and some of the finest music and song that has ever been recorded.

If you wish you’d swung with the hardest partying pack in town, now’s your chance!

Stephen Triffitt (Frank Sinatra) is the best known Sinatra performer in the UK. He first came to the public’s attention when he appeared on Star in Their Eyes in May 2000. He won his heat, polling 400,000 votes – and a new career was born! Soon after Stephen flew to Atlantic City to star as Frank in a show called The Main Event. He returned from the States in June 2002, once again starring in The Main Event, this time for a three-month run, headlining at The Venetian on the Strip in Las Vegas, which was built on the site of the Sands Hotel. Stephen then embarked on a UK national tour of Frank, Sammy & Dean – The Rat Pack Live From Las Vegas. This led him to star in the West End, where the show was nominated for an Olivier Award, and ran for more than 1,000 performances.

Mark Adams (Dean Martin) was also part of the Olivier-nominated West End cast of Frank, Sammy & Dean – The Rat Pack Live From Las Vegas. He was then invited to Canada to open the show in its North American premiere at the Canon Theatre in Toronto. He recently toured the UK with his own show That’s Amore!, a celebration of Dean Martin based on Dean’s successful US TV variety show that ran for over 10 years.

George Long (Sammy Davis Jr) created the role of Sammy Davies Jr in the original Olivier Awardnominated West End cast of Frank, Sammy & Dean – The Rat Pack Live From Las Vegas, at The Strand Theatre and Theatre Royal Haymarket, as well as two national tours. His credits also include the Olivier Award-nominated production of Gershwin’s Porgy & Bess and the original West End cast of Sister Act The Musical.
