Christmas with Popcorn Shed Review

Reviewed by Debbie Talbot

Popcorn Shed is the UK’s first super premium gourmet popcorn brand. I was amazed to read on their website that Popcorn Shed started life in the founders’ garden shed back in 2016. Popcorn Shed kindly sent me 2 popcorn gifts to review.

Popcorn Shed Party Pack

Popcorn Shed Party Bag

The first popcorn gift my daughter and I received from Popcorn Shed was their gigantic party pack (RRP: £18). Their party pack is a huge pouch filled with 14 individual bags of popcorn. There are 7 different flavours, so such a good variety to pick from. This Party Pack is perfect for our family movie nights or even for my teenage daughter to take with her on sleepovers with her friends.

We did not personally like the taste of Say Cheese! Or Sweet Cheesus, but that’s not to say that they would not be to someone else’s taste. This Party Pack was a massive hit with everyone and I would buy this and other Popcorn Shed products. I have had so many packs of popcorn in the past from other brands which do not have enough flavour. This was not the case with any of the Popcorn Shed flavours.

The pouch includes the famous award-winning Salted Caramel, our award-winning Berry-licious and Say Cheese! Butterly Nuts, Pop N Choc, Pecan Pie and Sweet Cheesus.

Popcorn Shed Advent Calendar

Popcorn Shed

For the past few years Christmas tradition advent calendar wise has tended to be gifting other family members a chocolate advent calendar. This year What’s Good To Do have been determined to investigate the various advent calendars out there. I was therefore very excited to be sent a Popcorn Shed Advent Calendar (RRP: £17.50) to review. It arrived quickly in perfect condition, and as it was for review it meant we got to try it out early.

The calendar has 24 doors to open, each door has a packet of popcorn behind it. The advent calendar contains 6 different flavours of popcorn. The door numbers are well mixed up and so you get a good variety of flavours over a period of several days.

The advent calendar contains the following flavours:

  • Salted caramel
  • Pop n choc
  • Pecan pie
  • Butterfly nuts
  • Berry-licious
  • Say cheese!

Please note – contains peanuts, soya, nuts and milk.

In my view, Popcorn Shed have got the balance of ingredients perfect. My daughter and I love all of the flavours except Say Cheese! That said, just because Say Cheese! Is not to our personal taste does not mean it is not a good flavour. One of my friends really loves it.

I am officially converted over to Popcorn Shed popcorn.  I already have their advent calendar on my own wish list for next year.

I had a good look at the Popcorn Shed website and particularly liked the look of their gift bundles which cost from just £9.99 and are available here. I think that a 6 or 12 months tasting club membership would make an excellent present for a popcorn lover in your life, especially if hard to buy for.
