Paultons Park Review
Paultons Park Magma Launch
Reviewed by Leah Rabbett
The whole family was so excited to visit Paultons Park, especially as we were at the launch for the brand new ride Magma! They picked a beautiful day to launch Magma, sun was shining and you could feel the energy of excitement from everyone!
As we arrived the staff all was very welcoming and was offered drinks and very well made volcano cakes, very well done as the ride Magma was all about volcano and lava etc…
Now Magma is not a ride I would personally be very excited about, I have never been on a ride like this and quite scared at the thought of ever going on one like this! The attention to detail of the outside of the ride whilst queuing etc. was amazing!!! Topiary dinosaurs definitely attracted one of our family members!
Whilst queuing you go through a couple of caves (part of the volcano) you hear dinosaur noises and you go through darker parts. Then just before you turn the last corner to get to the ride you are greeted by a dinosaur in a cage now if you’ve never been on the ride you really do not expect it and might give you a little fright as it did me!
Then it was time to get on the ride! So after all the effects really does get you all excited. So after deciding where to sit the staff member asks you to pull down the bar and strap yourself in. Then all the chairs get safety checked.
Then smoke fills up everywhere which to be honest I do not recommend sitting near where it comes out from as you might end up having a coughing fit as was slightly bit too much! Then you are slowly released up into the air which was quite high and you could see the whole park was quite breath taking.
Tightly holding on to the bars of my chair I said to my partner how scared I was as you really do not know what to expect.
The ride teases you by quickly jolting down, then back up again then fast let down again and was quite thrilling. Back up and down plus the teasing really does get your heart going it also spins to which I haven’t seen before in this type of ride. It was an amazing ride and really did get me going ready for the rest of Paultons.
As Paultons Park is a family park they really have catered for children on this ride. Over 5s are allowed as long as they are over the height restriction. Now as it is such a big ride I was very shocked that such young children and so little could go on the ride. But all the children were very happy and I think the adults were more scared!
The whole ride experience was truly great a real recommend when going to Paultons Park!
The rest of the park was a real great experience. As such a nice sunny day it was busy but we didn’t have to queue much and was very happy with waiting time. All our children had a great day. Peppa Pig World is also at Paultons Park, I think the children and adults alike loved it. Peppa Pig World was more busy than the actual park itself, queuing time was a bit long especially with the children, they did get a bit bored of waiting but after the rides not one complaint. Even my 7 month old baby had fun as he was even allowed on the rides! He loved the balloon ride!
Paultons Park boast about how they are a family theme park. We was dreading taking a 7 month old, 5 year old and a 9 year old as all having different tastes and also we was quite worried about age and height restrictions, but it really is a FAMILY park as most of the rides our 5 year old could go on and Peppa Pig World was amazing as our 7 month old even could get involved! They also had a penguin show but was every few hours and never got to see it but we will be back and 100% must see. The park itself is beautiful birds situated around the park good water play area for the kids so bring swimsuits!!
The food was reasonably priced but will probably take a picnic next time!
It was an amazing day and was loved by every single member of our family!
The fantastic new ride, MAGMA, will open on Saturday 31st March 2012.
