Calcutta Brasserie in Stony Stratford is set in a beautiful 17th Century Grade II listed Chapel with high vaulted ceilings and marble pillars creating a unique atmosphere for an Indian Restaurant. The restaurant seats 200 and also offers Business Lunches, Sunday Buffets, Venue Hire and Special Events.

The staff were friendly and attentive and the service was excellent.

We ate from the special Valentine’s menu which will be £29.95 per head and includes a champagne and strawberry reception, a three course meal and live evening entertainment.

The starter was a choice between Non-Vegetarian or Vegetarian platter. We chose the vegetarian option and had a selection of four dishes which was very authentic and followed by a fantastic Main course, all excellent quality food. The Mango Kulfi dessert is not to be missed. All in all, a fabulous meal, completely different from a standard visit to an Indian Restaurant.

Overall it was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience and I would definitely recommend it to others. At £29.95 The Valentine’s menu is fantastic value for money. A perfect venue for a Valentine’s meal.

I will be going back again and would give the restaurant and the food a rating of 5 out of 5.

Rating: 5/5 thumbs_up
