Cupcakes are big business these days, so to compete your product really needs to be outstanding, both in presentation and in flavour. Butterscotch Bakery’s cupcakes delivers on both fronts, they are absolutely beautifully decorated but also taste wonderful, light and airy but not at the expensive of the wonderful taste.

Our Mother’s Day Box had a selection of chocolate, vanilla and red velvet cupcakes and it was a difficult to decide which was the best, so it’s lucky there were 2 of each to double-check! If pushed I would have to say I particularly loved the chocolate variety, although it was a close call, the red velvet is also a lovely spin on the traditional cupcake formula.

The Mother’s Day Box are £15 for a box of 6, £30 for 12 and offer fantastic value, even the presentation of the actual box and label was extremely professional. You can really taste the difference with the high quality ingredients used. There are various different cupcake packages on offer, and Butterscotch Bakery also make wedding and celebration cakes if your occasion calls for something larger, as well as “retro bakes” – cakes and biscuits the way you remember your granny making them! There are even gluten free options so everyone is catered for.

Delivery is free in Central/West End Glasgow and reasonably priced if you’re slightly further afield. They’re extremely friendly and helpful so don’t hesitate to make contact if you have particular requirements.

I can’t recommend them highly enough. If you’re after a gift that’ll earn you a few brownie points from your mum this Mother’s Day then get your orders in quickly!
