Jimmy Bobo (Sylvester Stallone) is a very successful hitman from New Orleans with 26 arrests and 2 convictions. He witnesses his partner in crime being killed by a rival assassin (Jason Momoa) and he is next.

Washington DC cop Taylor Kwon (Sung Kang) partner has also been killed and wants revenge so Bobo and Kwon form an unlikely team in order to find the assassin, catch the ringleaders and save their lives and Bobo’s daughter.

Overall, this is a typical Stallone movie with lots of brutal violence, funny one-liners and non-stop action and as action films go I found it quite enjoyable. Lots of great action and fight scenes, armed and unarmed, to keep your interest and a straightforward storyline with interesting characters.

If you love Stallone or action films from the 80’s/90’s the you will love this. Hitman vs Hitman with the help of a renegade cop thrown in.

Rating: 4/5
