The Boyzlife Tour 2025 opened at Poole lighthouse last night, Thursday 23rd January at 7:30pm, featuring Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden, for one night only.

Having been a massive fan of both boybands and seeing them live several times I was excited to see this show with my friend to re live our childhood. It was set to be a fun night of nostalgia, allowing us both to go back to your youth.

Boyzlife known as the super group comprised of Keith Duffy from Boyzone and Brian McFadden from Westlife. They were the boy bands of the 90s and 00s and have an incredible 21+ number 1 singles from the boyband era between them.

This new 2025 tour across UK and Ireland will see them will perform hits from a mixture of Boyzone and Westlife hits. Their Tour will run from January to March.

Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden first joined forces in 2016, Boyzlife have performed to 100,000 fans across UK and Europe with two complete sell out tours either side of the pandemic. The show is a mix of songs from their hits from all their favourites as well as their new single Echoes which was realised on January 17th by the duo.

The show started with two support acts to get the show started and in the mood to party with Boyzlife.

Both support acts, Esmae and then Qymira performed some of their own material. They both struggled to reach the audience with their songs. It would have been better to have acts that could do songs from the 90s and 00s to get the crowd up and on their feet ready for the main act. They left the audience rather disappointed with the first half.

After the two support acts there was a short break while we waited for Boyzlife to take to the stage with their new single Echoes on screen. Before they came on to the stage there was a montage video featuring some of their greatest hits from when they were in the boybands.

They played Sweet Caroline as the warm up song as the band were taking their positions. The whole audience were now singing and clapping along and getting excited.

When they appeared on stage the whole audience was up cheering, throughout the night they had everyone singing along and on their feet. They had lots of good Irish banter and made the crowd laugh with various jokes and remarks.

It was definitely a trip down memory lane and a very enjoyable evening being taken back to my younger days. Both Keith and Brian have made this a huge success and clearly loved performing all the old songs together as well as their new material.

They had many costume changes, from casual to smart and glittery and some fabulous visual effects and lighting with smoke and flames during the set.

At the end they performed a medley of songs from different boybands, not just their own.

The lighthouse is in Kingsland Road in the centre of Poole, with plenty of parking in the carpark opposite, there is also a bus station opposite and it’s within walking distance from Poole train station. The lighthouse has a cafe downstairs and bar on the upper level.
