Who doesn’t love flowers?!
There will always be something really special about receiving some fresh cut flowers, and this hand-tied bouquet from Bloom & Wild certainly is that in a word – special.
When I was picked to do this review (yay me!) I was really excited to go and choose a bouquet. It is not often that I’ll treat myself with flowers and thought it would be really easy to pick the perfect bunch for me.
Oh my…
These bouquets are stunning. I wanted them all! Winnie, Luna, Alex, Toyin, Ruby, Ash… What a choice! One as beautiful as the next. I must have changed my mind at least 5 times, not wanting to miss out on any.
In the end, I chose ‘The Alex’. Firstly, because it contains no lilies, something which I am unfortunately not able to have in the house, secondly because of the sheer abundance of colour in this bouquet. Last, but not least, because it combines my absolute favourites – proteas and roses, alongside others.
Talking about abundance and favourites… When this was delivered to me, I was quite surprised by the size of the box, it was rather large. I thought it was because there must be quite a bit of ‘fluff’ to protect the flowers, but no. On opening the box, it was just full. Bursting to the brim with goodness.
The box is really sturdy and protected the flowers well. There were clear instructions on the box, promising that the flowers will ‘wake up’ soon. It had useful information printed inside, including a customer team phone number as well as reassurance about the packaging and cards being 100% recyclable, which is always good to know. Bloom & Wild also included a care guide, and instructions couldn’t be easier. Flower food for day 1 and 3 completed the content.
I followed the instructions, and this bouquet filled the room with its stunning colours. But the best part? You smell these flowers even before you get into the room. I put these in my ‘office’ (aka dining room) and I was aware of the deep fragrance all day. It was a delight looking up from my laptop and see these in front of me every time.
On day 3 I cared for them as advised and used the second pack of flower food. I wanted to wait as long as possible to write this review, wondering just how long these will look as good as they did. But it was no word of a lie that these flowers ‘woke up’. They looked even better on day 3 than they did day 1, and after a week, they are still as gorgeous. The main photo was taken on day 7.
I love, love, love these flowers. In fact, I was so impressed with my bunch, I had no hesitation when ordering a close relative’s birthday flowers from them too last week. Happy to report that she was just as impressed with hers as I am with mine.
I have no doubt that I’ll order from this company again. The Alex hand-tied bouquet costs £60, but there are a wide variety available to order, for different budgets. This really is a quality buy and shows ‘I care’ from the get-go.
I hope to experience these more often; after all, there’s a lot more of these bouquets that I want to ‘test out’, even if I don’t have to write reviews for them. And if my not-so-subtle hints for my family falls through… Well, a woman should treat herself every now and then with the best things in life.
Thank you Bloom & Wild, this review was an absolute pleasure to do.
