Rockin’ Baby have very kindly sent us a great bundle of clothes to put through their paces and review. We have been sent the Ballerina Appliqué Footie (RRP £20), the Grey and White Striped Body (RRP £14), the Mountain Deer Tee (RRP £16) and the Racoon Appliqué PJ Set (RRP £20).
Rockin’ Baby offer a range of clothing in sizes newborn to 10 years, there are lots of different ranges available, with a design that will suit most tastes, from Ballerinas to Bugzz, Cloudy Skies to Deep Space and Nordic to the Highlands.
The first item that we had to review is the Ballerina Appliqué Footie, available in sizes from newborn to 12 months. It is a beautiful white babygrow with soft pink polka dots and piping. There are three pretty little appliqué ballerinas on the front with tiny little pink tutus. The babygrow has the poppers down the side so that the design fits on the front, the cuffs are elasticated so that they actually stay at the wrist (a feature that I have never seen on a babygrow before) and the cut of the item is quite thin, meaning it fits well and doesn’t hang lose.
The detail is continued throughout the garment with pink feet, an appliquéd star and matching polka dot fabric.
Made from beautifully soft 100% cotton this is the perfect purchase for any new little princess.
Next up was the Grey and White Striped Body, available in sizes from newborn to 24 months. This is a wonderfully soft neutral long sleeved body suit. It has an envelope neckline for ease of getting it on and off small wriggly bodies. The neck and leg holes are co-ordinated pale yellow that looks great against the grey stripes. The body suit will look great with a pair of chinos, dungarees, or a casual pair of leggings.
Again made from super soft 100% cotton and will look great on any little boy or girl.
Next was the stunning long sleeved Mountain Deer Tee, available in sizes 18-24 months to 10 years. A beautiful sky blue t-shirt with a striking white stag appliqué on the front. The sleeves have contrasting burgundy stripes and the neckline is finished with brown piping.
The super soft 100% cotton is lovely and soft and also hardwearing, I think that this is going to be a firm favourite and get a lot of wear. It looks great teamed with a pair of chinos or navy pair of cords.
Finally we had the Racoon Appliqué PJ Set, available in sizes 18-24 months to 10 years. The top has quite possibly the cutest flocked racoon I have ever seen, set against a bright light blue background. The top is a long sleeved, 100% cotton, not too thick (perfect for the cooler nights) and incredibly soft for comfort all night long. The trousers are a legging style again 100% cotton, white with blue and green trees on, they look great with the top. They have matching blue cuffs at the ankles to keep the trouser legs in the right place and a soft elasticated waist band to keep the trousers up.
These PJ’s are the perfect set for any little one, a comfy warm pair of pyjamas for the cooler Autumn nights.
All of the garments have washed well, there is no bobbling, no colour runs and no shrinkage. They have come out of the wash looking just as good as they did when they went in and are ready for another adventure.
The sizing is quite generous for my children, but they are all on the smaller side of average, they are beautiful clothes, with lovely designs that will last a long time.
