As a parent sending a child off to university, there’s a long list of things to worry about from finalising their course grade to cooking to whether they will remember to actually wash their bedding. When it came to choosing a duvet set for my son’s new room, I wanted something durable, comfortable, affordable, and easy to care for.
I was therefore excited to try the Bedsure duvet set in navy blue, and it’s genuinely one of the best sets I have come across and perfect for his Uni essentials.
First, the quality exceeded my expectations. University halls can be a bit hit‑and‑miss in terms of décor and comfort, so having bedding that instantly makes the room feel homelier matters more than you would think. The material is surprisingly soft straight out of the packaging, with a smooth, almost brushed feel that makes it very inviting. It doesn’t have that thin or scratchy texture that some budget sets do. Instead, it feels substantial and well‑made which is reassuring when you’re trying to set your child up with the basics they’ll use every single day.
The colour is another standout feature. The navy blue is rich and modern, making it perfect for a student room where you want something grown up but still stylish. It’s also a very practical choice. Dark colours can sometimes fade quickly after washing, but this duvet set has held its shade remarkably well.
Speaking of washing, this is where the Bedsure set really shines for a university parent. Students aren’t known for their strict laundry schedules, so having bedding that washes well is essential. My son has already put it through several cycles (thankfully!), and it still looks fresh and feels just as soft as day one. No bobbling, no fading, no shrinking, and the fabric dries quickly too, which is great when they don’t want to spend that coffee or beer money on long dryer cycles in the halls. The easy‑care fabric also means it doesn’t crease much, so even if it’s not folded perfectly or is pulled straight from the dryer, it still looks presentable on the bed.
Ultimately, comfort is the most important part, and my son tells me the duvet set is very comfortable to sleep in. It is light enough for warmer nights but cosy enough when the room gets chilly. For a student dealing with long days, late nights, and unpredictable schedules, a good night’s sleep is a gift in itself.
Overall, the Bedsure navy blue duvet set strikes the perfect balance: quality, comfort, practicality, and value. As a parent, it’s reassuring knowing he has bedding that’s comfortable, durable, and low‑maintenance. It’s one less thing to worry about and that’s priceless during a big milestone like starting university.
I would recommend the Bedsure duvet sets to anyone. You get duvet cover and two pillows for double and kingsize sets.
