Be My Valentine Gift Hamper Review

When the parcel arrived I was truly excited to open it – the corrugated red card box with beautiful ribbon was a delight so sturdy and secure without looking so, the items inside were beautifully presented all individually wrapped in thick red tissue paper. There was a slight perfume to the box which I later discovered was the soap.

The box contained the following, a 70cl bottle of Pink Fizz (Pinot Grigio), a pair of Champagne Flutes, a box of Chilli Chocolate Truffles, a pot of Chocolate Dipping Sauce, a shortbread heart biscuit iced with love, a handmade rose and rose petal soap and a packet of love hearts and some valentine confetti. The items had been well chosen to complement each other and had the feel of being individually selected along with presented beautifully.

The products themselves were lovely in their own right. The handmade soap came in a pretty organza bag and had such a lovely aroma not too heady and not too insipid that you wouldn’t notice it, it also gave the box itself a lovely perfume. The sparkling wine was simply delicious crisp and refreshing and certainly not too sweet – which some Rose sparkling wines can be, the addition of the flutes make it a lovely gift box to maybe take away for a weekend or perhaps for those still in the first throws of a new relationship. Personally I found the biscuit and the dipping sauce too sweet for my taste but the chocolate chilli truffles on the other hand were simply divine the headiness of the cocoa powder and the warm chilli made these curiously moreish….

I truly feel that the box of goodies at £39.95 was value for money not only would you be hard pushed to do it yourself for that price but the presentation made it a lovely gift to receive.
