Barefoot Wine Review

Reviewed by Dorothy White

I was recently sent some wine to taste from Barefoot Wine; Pink Pinot Grigio (RRP: £6.99) and Bubbly Pinot Grigio (RRP: £8.50). I found both to be tasty and delicious.

Barefoot Pink Pinot Grigio

The label says Crisp & Refreshing; it is certainly not wrong.

The Barefoot Pink Pinot Grigio California is a pale pink Rose Wine, if that makes sense.

To be honest I am already a Barefoot fan, it is my Rose wine of choice and I look out for it when having a meal out. It is really crisp, it is also very fruity, but I cannot decide which fruit is more dominant, possibly it is a mixture of fruits.

I am not a lover of dry wines, but this was ideal for me. I kept pouring a little more!

I think it would be a great wine to have with dinner; steak would be my favourite, but I would imagine it would be equally as good with chicken or fish.

It is a great wine to have on a night out of with a meal.

I can thoroughly recommend it!!

Barefoot Bubbly Pinot Grigio

Barefoot Bubbly is in the traditional bubbly type bottle with cork and wire. The cork certainly went with a bang as I opened the bottle, I’ve never seen the dog move so quickly, but I did not lose any of the wine.

At my first sip I thought I could taste honey, but on subsequent sips I don’t think I did. There is a sweetness about this bubbly, it is very fruity. It is also very crisp and refreshing, very easy on the palate.

I kept pouring just a little more, and a little more in an attempt to decide; I cannot describe the taste, just that I like it.

It is very a pleasant bubbly and I can thoroughly recommend it as a drink to have for a special event or with a meal.
