As a busy mum of 6 month old twin boys and a 7 year old, anything that makes my life easier is welcomed in this household. I was so excited to receive this Avent Blender/Steamer to review. It comes in minimal packaging. There is both a recipe book and informative instruction manual. I am a bit of a numpty, so I couldn’t work out how to get the lid off. A quick call to the helpline staff at Avent resolved this.
I have used it to steam and then blend, but also to blend items cooked for my own dinner which the boys were also having. It is just so easy. The measuring container even tells you how much water to use if you are steaming for however long. The whole thing is easy to take apart in seconds and wash. It has brilliant safety features, like not being able to turn it on unless it is positioned correctly. We have tried out a few recipes in the book which came with the appliance and the boys seem to like them. Jack is keener than Tom to try things but Tom’s weaning is coming along well too.
It has a big enough capacity to feed my boys several meals each. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this useful appliance to any mum’s and dad’s going through the weaning process, but especially to those of multiples where there just don’t seem to be enough hours in the day.
