A Foreign Affair by Colin Mander Review

This is an intriguing political thriller about 2 very powerful families and the financial crisis around Europe.
I really enjoyed this book and could not put it down. It is about 2 families the Boston’s and the Medina’s. The Boston’s have a family pharmaceutical business and have developed a very powerful drug that reduces heart attacks. The Medina’s are a very powerful Italian political family whose daughter is married to Matthew Boston.
It is very gripping and deals with the collapse of the banking system and recession in Europe, countries going bankrupt (so very relevant to today’s situation around Europe and the world), to the point of Italy pulling out of the EU and the European Army invasion of Italy and the power struggles between 2 families, politicians and countries.
A thoroughly enjoyable read and very hard to put down. It is very well written and easy to read. It combines business and politics, family feuds, fact and fiction but is entirely believable.
