Aroma Energy Relax And Calm Scented Candle Review

I was asked to review the Relax and Calm scented candle from Aroma Energy. I am a huge fan of candles but they have to look neutral and appealing in my home, and most importantly the scent has to be noticeable. I have pets, and I love my home to smell welcoming.

The candle arrived very well packed in bubble wrap and the scent was immediately apparent before I even lit it.
On lighting, the scent was beautifully fresh and ready for Spring! The blend of lavender, bergamot and lemongrass is perfect, as the delicate floral of the lavender takes the edge off the sweet citrus of the other two components. It feels sunny, light and is a gorgeous scent for Mother’s Day. These three particular ingredients are designed to help you relax.

I had the candle lit in our lounge and within minutes the fragrance had diffused throughout the room. It was extinguished after just over an hour, and even an hour later after leaving and re-entering the room it was still present.

The glass container is solid, with a chunky base. It is 8cm in height and 6.5cm wide, with a net weight of 150g. It’s quite a standard design and the label to the front is attractive in terms of the font but is quite thin and has started to peel slightly. I personally would prefer a small label with just the company and fragrance name rather than the extra information detailed just to make it more aesthetically pleasing when the candle is on display.

The candle is made from natural and environmentally friendly coconut wax and essential oils. It is vegan and produced in the UK, and currently comes in 21 different scents which all sound wonderful.

The website is slightly vague when it states that the candles contain “no or few chemicals” and does “little harm” to the environment on disposal. I feel perhaps the candle scents which contain no chemicals should be clearly stated to help with purchasing decisions. Other than that, the information on the website was helpful and gave the information required. There are various discounts available on spending and there is a planting trees initiative too which always draws me to a brand.

I buy a similar fragranced candle with the same 40-hour burn-time from another online company fairly regularly and pay £3 more than the Aroma Energy £9.99 candle. The quality of fragrance between the two is indistinguishable so I am really impressed by the value for money, and at this price I really will be ordering a few more scents to try.

This candle would make a lovely Mother’s Day gift and is great value. You could even compliment the “Relax and Calm” theme with other products from Aroma Energy such as the essential oils, for a pamper themed gift. This candle is an easy 5 stars out of 5.
