Mozart Chocolate Liqueur Trio Gift Set combines two of my favourite things: chocolate and cream liqueur. The tagline on the box states “chocolate worth your time” and it definitely was.

Mozart chocolate liqueur looks and tastes of luxury. The round gold, white and brown foil covered bottles, which are meant to represent a chocolate praline, with gold labelling look expensive. In fact they look so good it seems almost a shame to throw them away now that they are empty! Made using the highest quality ingredients and years of expertise, creativity, and passion by Master Distiller and Chocolatier the flavours really are a cut above the rest. Made with all-natural ingredients like cocoa and vanilla. Made in Austria the name is homage to Mozart and his birthplace Salzbury.

The Chocolate liqueur trio gift set contains three 50ml miniature bottles to allow you to try them and decide which one is your favourite, whether this be one or all of them. The three flavours in the box are:

Mozart Chocolate Cream (gold foil bottle) ABV 17% – A blend of Belgian chocolate, fresh cream and Madagascan vanilla. On opening the bottle the smell of rich chocolate hits you instantly. The texture was slightly thinner than your average cream liqueur but still creamy and smooth. It tasted like a smooth real chocolate milkshake and was really tasty without being too sickly. This was my second favourite of the three. I would definitely drink this again.

Mozart White Chocolate Vanilla Cream (white foil bottle) ABV 15% – A velvety, white chocolate cream liqueur. This seems a lot thinner in texture than the other two but was smooth like velvet to drink. As someone who wouldn’t choose to particularly eat white chocolate as a first choice I was surprised to find this was my favourite. The blend of white chocolate and vanilla was amazingly sweet, without being too sweet, and creamy. It was very moreish and I could easily drink this over and over again.

Mozart Dark Chocolate (brown foil bottle) ABV 17% – Crafted from smoky and bittersweet 87% dark chocolate, vanilla and rich caramel. I honestly wasn’t looking forward to tasting this one as, as much as I love chocolate I hate dark chocolate. It was quite bitter as dark chocolate tends to be but some of the bitterness was offset by the other flavours in the blend. This was my least favourite, personal taste, but imagine it would be nice in cocktails or mixed in hot chocolate.

At 15% and 17% ABV these are not the strongest of alcohol content but you could definitely taste the alcohol in them.

These liqueurs are very versatile. They can be enjoyed neat, on ice, in a cocktail or as a drizzle on ice cream, dessert or in hot drinks. There are even some cocktail recipes on the side of the box you can make using these liqueurs. They would make a lovely gift for any occasion and with a RRP of £14 they are an affordable luxury that any chocolate lover would love to receive. The only negative was there simply isn’t enough in the little bottles and I will definitely be dropping hints to my husband that a large bottle of the Mozart white chocolate vanilla cream would make a great Christmas present for me!
