The B-Cure Laser Pro arrived in a very compact box inside which was a small, zipped bag in which to keep the device, together with 3 rechargeable batteries, a small screwdriver, an instruction book and the B-Cure Laser Pro. I also received what looks like a space toy or a transformer ~ this is the fully adjustable three-legged stand which can hold the device during treatment so you don’t have to hold it, you can wrap the stand around a limb to hold it in place. This stand has to be purchased in addition to the Laser Pro as it is not included. The stand is such a clever design as it can be twisted and turned until you find the best position to place the B-Cure Laser Pro so the laser beam can carry out the treatment.
I read the instructions from cover to cover before I even looked at the device and discovered I had to charge it for approximately 7 hours, preferably overnight, before use. Whilst the device was on charge, I took the opportunity to read the instruction booklet which among other things gives advice on which areas you can treat, how to go about treating the area and where to place the device etc. It advises starting gradually at first with treatments lasting for a short time, then increasing the length of time for the treatment and the number of times you treat the area each day.
I was offered some tuition on using the B-Cure Lazer Pro which I accepted and it really helped me understand it more, for a start from looking at the B-Cure Lazer Pro I hadn’t realised there was a lid on the device which needed to be removed before treatment. We discussed my injury, where best to place the B-Cure Lazer Pro would be, how to place and fasten it to a limb for treatment.
When the device was fully charged and ready to use I started working on my knee which I damaged during my teenage years, but lately it has been causing me pain again. First of all I used the device for 90 seconds at a time at 4 points around my knee morning and night. I used the stand and fastened the device under my knee so the beam was underneath my kneecap, I then changed the position to treat both sides of my knee. The back of my knee was more tricky to be able to fasten the B-Cure lazer to, but I managed it with the help of the stand. Working on my hip I placed the device on the stand and balanced the stand on the bed with the help of a pillow against the painful point. When the Be-Cure lazer is working you cannot feel it, but you can hear the time ticking down.
As I work I found it difficult to fit in more treatment times but found first thing in the morning and last thing at night suited me. I laid on the bed to keep my leg straight as it was being treated. I have not rushed the treatment, which was my first instinct, but taken it very slowly gradually building up the amount of time I used the Be-Cure Lazer each day. During the time I was treating my knee I jarred it whilst walking down a very steep hill which set me back as it became painful again!! Thankfully as I write this I can no longer feel the pain in my knee and hip which is fantastic!
This is a great device although quite expensive to buy, the amazing stand which I found invaluable to keep the Be-Cure Lazer in place during treatment, has to be purchased separately.
