Freshwipes Mixed Scent Two Pack Review

Freshwipes used to be known as SwetWipes rebranded due to customers recommendation, they are a UK company based in the Sussex Countryside near Lewes. They set up FreshWipes Ltd in January 2020 as a grown-up alternative to baby wipes.

Whilst they were working as a rep selling antiseptic solutions to hospitals to help minimise infection prior to surgery they noticed that there was an increasing need for a product which would help people to reduce the bacteria levels on their skin at home, remove odour and smell fresh.

Those moments in life where access to a shower was difficult or wasn’t possible or practical. But they also wanted to produce a product which would be kind to the environment 100% biodegradable and plastic-free. Each soft, thick and luxurious body wipe is made from plant based cellulose and each wipe begins to decompose within 30-45 days if buried in the soil, or placed in the composter. The packet containing the wipes is also made from recycled materials and they use recyclable mailing bags too.

How do their body wipes get rid of odour? Well, their formula uses antibacterial ingredients (Chlorhexidine) which quickly work to remove the bacterial and protein elements in sweat that cause body odour.

I was happy to be chosen to review FRESHWIPES because as a person who lives with chronic pain I sometimes find I am not always feeling up to showering or even standing at the sink to wash, using baby wipes just doesn’t give me a fresh clean washed feel and leave me feeling tacky and no fresher than before therefore I was quite sceptical as to how these wipes would differ.

I received the mixed scent two pack which consisted of light coconut and fresh grapefruit scented wipes, the wipes are also available to purchase in unscented which would be great if you have sensitive skin. They can be purchased in single packs or a variation of multiples up to 36 packs. You can also save 5%-10% if you open a subscription. And it’s free shipping on all UK orders.

There are 12 wipes in a resealable pack with a tamper proof seal sticker so you know they haven’t been opened. We all know that when you only want one baby wipe or tissue you end up with a clump of them! Well I pulled out a fresh wipe and was pleasantly surprised that I actually got just the one out!

They are a lot thicker, softer and more moist than any other wipes I have used, as well as a lot bigger measuring approximately A4 in size, the coconut scented ones were my favourite, I wasn’t keen on the grapefruit scent but that’s just down to my personal preference.

Whilst washing, the wipes continued to feel wet and they left my skin feeling fresh, clean and air dried quickly leaving no sticky residue. There is no need to rinse your skin after use. They are big enough to do a full body clean starting from top to toe of course. Hours after use I could still smell the coconut fragrance.

Please note they are not recommended to be used on the face or on children under 3.

I wish I had know about these when I had back surgery when I wasn’t allowed to shower for ten whole days these would have been a god send.

They really are perfect for personal care for anyone that is struggling to shower or bath, or following surgery, they would even be great if you were camping or at a weekend festival.

I would highly recommend these wipes although I would like to see more scents to chose from in the future.
