Skincare products can be a great idea for a present or stocking filler at Christmas especially if they come in lovely packaging or smell nice and BAO Skincare products do both!

I tried out the BAO Skincare Christmas “On the go” Mini’s which included a “lip saviour “ (lip balm) and a hand cream in a cotton drawstring bag.

Firstly the packaging is exactly what you want – this is a company that is all about ‘making skin happy’ (this is their tagline!), has gained certification from The Vegan Society and Soil Association and talks about being sustainable so it is lovely that this continues to the packaging. All the packaging which BAO Skincare uses can be recycled except the pumps and the lovely cotton drawstring bag is organic and fairtrade certified. I also love that loads of the products are made in glass jars because I would definitely reuse these after I finish the product!

The labelling is also great (very minimalistic with the outline of parts of the body) and immediately makes you feel like this is a company which knows what they are doing. Beth, the founder, has sensitive skin and therefore knows exactly what she wants from skincare products and BAO Skincare actually has a ‘no reaction’ promise which means that if you use any products and have a reaction then they will refund you in full.

The hand cream comes in a little 30ml bottle with a pump and smells incredible! I put a little bit on my hands and rubbed it in and this lovely smell of sweet orange and geranium filled the air. This is meant to be able to repair and nourish even the most cracked and sensitive hands and although my hands were not too dry to begin with, I can confirm they left them feeling silky smooth. I also love that this is 100% vegan!

Then the little lip saviour (14.7g) comes in a cute glass jar with an aluminum lid. When you open the lid the first thing you get is a gorgeous smell of cocoa (which makes sense as the first ingredient listed is theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter. I added some to my lips and was pleased that it seemed to moisture my lips straight away but also didn’t leave my lips sticky.

I am so happy with both products and would highly recommend them either for yourself or as gifts! They are on the slightly higher price side (£20 for both mini products and the bag) but due to the smell and feel of them they are definitely worth it. There is also a huge selection of products on the website including many face and body products, a candle (which has the same smell as the hand cream!!) and a variety of different bundles.

If you want to order delivery for Christmas you can get them gift wrapped and can even order them to be sent directly (with a sticker which says ‘Do not open until Christmas Day’ – just be quick you need to order by 16th December for guaranteed delivery!
