What an absolute delight it was to be asked to review this stunningly beautiful wine glass.

PACKAGING

A gloriously decorated box in a bright cerise pink and white.  The front of the box shows the wine glass that is inside, whilst on the back, there is an array of designs to spoil yourself with.

Upon opening the box I was overwhelmed by such bold and bright colours and it is certainly much better for real than the picture on the front of the box.

I was very surprised when testing how much it holds, nearly half a bottle of wine, now I was very impressed with that 🙂

DESIGN AND COLOURS

Such a beautiful illustration of butterflies, flowers with their stems and leaves.

Each of the butterflies, in red, blue, purple, yellow, orange and green are all illustrated with matching coloured gems.  The gems are a lovely touch and when sat in the sun, they sparkle.  

There are different designs of flowers, blue with orange centres, orange with two contrasting oranges and a yellow centre, yellow with white centres and a purple flower with yellow centre. 

The stem of the wine glass is beautiful.  It is a gorgeous purply, blue colour with two tone pink roses on green stems with green leaves.  There is also a beautiful side profile of an orange butterfly, again, with matching coloured gems. 

The stem, well…. This is just WOW!!! It has green stems going up towards the flowers on the wine glass itself where it branches out, with eaves to each of the flowers.  In between the branches on the stem is the glittery colour of gold.  This really struck me and took me by surprise.  What a unique and clever idea, the imagination of Lolita’s design on this wine glass is truly spectacular.

All of these colours, designs, patterns and gems are cleverly hand-painted and a real work of art. With Lolita taking the world by storm in 2004, it is no wonder she has become the hottest gift grand in the U.S.  She now has a vast range of designs and not just on wine glasses either.  Let your imagination run wild with her spectacular selection of glasses that will compliment any drink, dinner party or even just sitting down with some cheese, biscuits and a glass of wine made so much better in taste with the boost of colours on the glass to go with it.

Now for the hidden treasure!

Look under the wine glass on base and you will see a fabulous recipe for what is called the ‘Bejewelled Butterfly’ cocktail, this recipe is as follows:-

                    1.5oz Monin Violet Syrup

                    3/4 oz Apple Juice

                    1/2oz Lemon Juice

                    Fill With White Wine

After the recipe, it has the beautiful signature of Lolita.

Just as I could not be surprised anymore, I lift up the bottle the glass came in and not only is the recipe there but it is written in French, the title is ’Papillon Précieux’.  I can not speak French but I can just hear these words being said and it is jus beautiful as are the words of the recipe too.

Would I buy another or recommend it to someone?  Absolutely!  It is definitely worth a 5/5 from me.

It is £19.95 and so worth it.  The value is in Lolita’s time spent designing and painting the glass along with the paints uses and her talent for painting as well as her imagination.
