Transformulas Marine Miracle Crème Review

Working from home of late has meant that I’ve given my skin time to breathe without makeup and so I wanted to improve my routine to ensure my skin looks the best it can and moving forwards even in public I can forgo foundation and heavier make up items during the day.

This goal has me trying new skincare and perfecting my routine, so jumped at the chance to try the Transformulas Marine Miracle Crème moisturiser. Using so many different essences, toners and serums sometimes plays havoc with my skin and its healing marine benefits were a real draw, combined with brightening vitamin C, texture reducing and plumping properties. Most of the ingredients I’ve heard of before, except for lysidine, so with a little research I discovered it’s a patented ingredient that helps relax the dermal layer to help soften the contractions caused by expression lines. As I’m in my 30s and fine lines are starting to appear there is no better time than to reduce these lines as much as possible to reduce the signs of aging.

I also really liked their tagline – Beauty Without Surgery. If I can get great results without the need, risk and expense of surgery then I’m all for it!

The product arrived packaged in a box with tissue paper and the crème itself comes in an iconic glossy green globe that relays its premium price tag. The box it came in was cohesive in terms of design and colour with the product inside and relayed key information – benefits, key ingredients and what they do and product overview. The whole design concept was very reminiscent of its marine heritage and there’s clearly been a lot of thought to it. Inside the box also contained an additional 2 pager in multiple languages to expand upon the products application. Guidance dictated that the product should be applied morning and night to freshly cleansed skin, as to be expected.

The crème itself smells lovely, I’m not sure if its fragranced but I don’t feel it’s heavily so as I can be sensitive to products of that nature and haven’t had any adverse reactions. Although the crèmes consistency looks a little thicker, it applies well spreading over the skin and sinking in nicely without leaving any residue. A little goes a long way! Sometime when I switch products, I can get a few blemishes whilst my skin gets used to it, but there was no such occurrence with the Marine Miracle Crème.

For reference, I’m a combination dry skin person in Winter and in Summer I have combination skin with an oily t-zone. A good moisturiser a key step regardless of the time of year. After 7 days of use my skin has less texture as the most notable result – I had a few bumps all over my face and more texture than I’d like having missed a few days skincare in the lead up to receiving the product, which actually turned out to be a useful test. After a couple of days my skin was noticeably softer, plump and smooth all over. After use I also noticed a dewier complexion – not to be confused with greasiness but just a healthy overall look.

Key to note is that that the formulation uses naturally and sustainably sourced marine ingredients and packaging states it’s not tested on animals, so it’s great for those that are conscious of their purchasing decisions.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this product, the list of benefits is exhaustive, but I feel to really reap the rewards the product should be used continuously for a longer period of time to realise all of these fully. After 7 days of use I’ve seen as mentioned above some improvements and look forward to continuing this journey and seeing more results. It would also make a great Christmas gift as a luxury product someone might not spend on themselves. Investing in good skincare is hugely worthwhile as your skin is on display all the time and for a basic routine cleansing and moisturising is an absolute must.
