I really wanted to review this one, Child’s Farm is a firm favourite in our house, we discovered them due to previous reviews and have loved and purchased from them ever since. They are a company that prides themselves on using the most natural ingredients, that are kind to skin and the environment (also vegan), their products are suitable for anyone including newborns and even those with super sensitive skin such as eczema.
My children are all going to school and along with the rest of the world are washing their hands frequently, my middle boy (6) has incredibly sore dry patches on his hands and I really wanted to try a moisturising cream to try and clear this up, so we were over the moon to get this to review.
The tin itself is gorgeous, it’s a nice size and decorated with with stunning flowers, birds and leaves, it celebrates the diverse nature of Great Britains Flora and it is beautiful. On the back is the information on what you will find inside, a moisturising hand wash (250ml), a moisturising hand cream (75ml) and a nail file buffing block.
The soap smells divine, it is grapefruit and tea tree and has a lovely fresh citrus scent, it isn’t overpowering and leaves a nice fragrance on your hands once washed. It also leaves your hands feeling clean but also soft and not dried out at all, it is perfect for dry skin and moisturises while it cleans. The lovely thing about Childs Farm is that all items are dermatologist approved and great for super sensitive skin.
The moisturiser is also scented with grapefruit and tea tree and smells just as wonderful, you only need a little bit and it does go a long way. It rubs in really nicely and leaves hands feeling soft and skin replenished of moisture. In just 5 days my sons hands are looking and feeling much better, his skin is no longer rough to the touch and he says it doesn’t hurt anymore. It really is doing wonders for his skin, we use it in the morning before he goes to school and also before he goes to bed. It absorbs into the skin quickly and doesn’t leave them feeling greasy or slick, it is a lovely soft feeling and leaves hands smelling great without being over powering too.
The nail buffer block is a happy little extra included within this tin, my boy loves a pamper and has great nails so when he saw this he was very happy. We got comfy on the sofa and he had a hand massage and then manicure. The block is easy and quick to use, first filing the nails and then buffing using the numbered sides of the block, when you have finished you are left with smooth, healthy and shiny nails, no polish or nastyness and they look great. It was really nice to sit with my son and for him to get some quality time with me which we looked after his hands and nails.
The tin is a lovely size and on the back says to keep for hair bands, picture hooks, photos or other useful bits and pieces, this is a great idea and super practical.
This tin would make a great gift for someone for Christmas or even just to buy to have in the house. This time of the year is always hard on hands and especially so at the moment with the current pandemic and the need to be washing hands even more, using products that are so kind to skin is definitely worth while and you can’t go wrong with this gorgeous set from Child’s Farm.
