A Beautiful Christmas for Her Review

Reviewed by Janine Rumble

With Christmas just a few months away, many people’s thoughts are turning to the age old question of ‘What do I get for a Christmas present?’ Well if you are looking for a present for someone who likes to pamper themselves, then this beauty bundle could be a perfect present or individually they could make great stocking fillers.

The beauty bundle consists of Embryolisse Laboratoires Lait-Crème Fluide, Too Cool For School Coconut Sugar Facial Scrub, WNt London Conditioner and Sensational Rose Gold Glitter Colour Gel Polish.

Embryolisse Laboratoires Lait-Crème Fluide (RRP: £15 75ml / £28 £500ml) is a multi-function nourishing moisturiser for all skin types, which is made in France. It is a light smelling, non-greasy, easy to apply cream that I would highly recommend to everyone as both a great Christmas present or as an everyday use product.

The cream comes in a variety of packaging and I have reviewed the cream in a 500ml pump bottle, which is brilliant in itself for adding to the ease of application. The packaging is both written in French and in English and it states that the cream ‘is a lighter version of the famous Lait-Crème Concentre that contains the same nourishing and moisturising active ingredients from natural origin. Quickly absorbed, it leaves the skin smooth, soft and supple. A velvety-smooth lotion that replenishes the moisture your skin needs. Can be used as a body moisturiser, facial make up remover, soothing after-sun and after-shave care’. I can state that this product is amazing, and I have used it every day. It is a thin cream that is easily spread over the body giving good coverage, it is non-greasy and is quickly absorbed into the body leaving my skin feeling soft and moisturised and slightly scented. Because of the pump action bottle, the cream is easily expelled in a decent amount that goes a far way in coverage, it makes applying the cream much quicker and easier than other moisturising creams I have used. Smaller bottles would be more beneficial if travelling, especially as it can be used after being in the sun to soothe the skin.

Having used this product every day, sometimes twice a day, I would highly recommend this product. I have seen a change in my skin and I have noticed how much softer my skin is. It takes a few minutes to moisturise my entire body and because of the ease and the feel of my skin after, I will continue to buy this product and will be looking to see what other products the company sells too.

The design on the packaging reminds me of bottles that you might see in a spa and looks appealing in my bathroom and would make a great Christmas present for both males and females who like to take care of their skin.

Too Cool For School Coconut Sugar Facial Scrub (RRP: £22.50 100ml) is a gorgeous smelling product which would make a brilliant Christmas gift for someone who likes to pamper themselves using high quality products.

The coconut sugar facial scrub is made from coconut oil, sugar and water and comes in a handy sized 100ml tub, perfect for taking with you on your travels or for keeping in your bathroom cupboard. On the packaging, it states that ‘Too Cool For School Coconut Facial Scrub is a nourishing coconut sugar scrub for polishing and refining the skin’. Its product description is ‘a nourishing physical facial exfoliating mask made with coconut sugar, oil, and water, for smooth and radiant skin’. It also states the product is ‘free from parabens, sulphates and phthalates’.

The actual product is amazing. It has a thick texture and smells divine, a must for anyone who, like me, loves the smell of coconut. It is easy to apply to the face using the handy plastic spatula that is included inside the packaging. It feels cold upon applying to the face, but it quickly warms up. Then using small, gentle circular movements, the coconut sugar scrub easily glides over the face and neck. I did this for 60 seconds and whilst using the product I could feel it sweeping away the dirt and the grime. I then rinsed the scrub off my face using warm water and gently patted it dry. Upon removing the towel and looking in the mirror I was delighted to see an immediate change in the complexion of my skin, it no longer looked tired, but instead it looked fresh and it felt very soft and had a nice, clean glow about it.

I have since used this facial scrub regularly and will continue to use it as I like the change it brings about in my skin. I have also been recommending it to my friends and have been looking for other products sold by the Too Cool For School brand. It is not a brand that I was aware of before testing this product, but having researched them I have come to discover that ‘the unique cosmetic brand Too Cool for School was introduced in 2009 and is a division of TODACOSA, the first chain cosmetic store in Korea. The name TooCoolforSchool reflects originality, experimentation, artistic sensibilities and the fresh, rebellious sprit of those in their teens, twenties, and thirties and beyond’. Now having used one of their products, I will seek out their other products.

I highly recommend this product.

WNt London Conditioner (RRP: £10.95 250ml) is a ‘natural argan oil conditioning, hydrates, smoothes and protects medium to coarse hair while preventing frizz and split ends. Packed with hydrating botanicals, this lightweight conditioner instantly detangles while helping to provide anti-fade protection to chemically treated hair. Keratin, amino acids restore the fibre and reinforce hair, leaving it stronger, silky soft and shiny’.

I was a little bit sceptical when I read this on the WNt conditioner bottle, but having used it regularly, I can say that their claims are well founded. I have always struggled with frizzy hair after blow-drying and because I have dyed hair, I often find that my hair can be very dry, but following using this conditioner regularly, I can see a definite improvement in the quality of my hair. It is not as dry as it has been and it certainly is a lot less frizzy and feels much softer than normal, it looks a lot shinier and looks and feels healthier.

I have been using conditioner that comes in a 250ml pump action bottle, which is helpful in distributing a small amount of conditioner. A small amount is all you need to provide good hair coverage. A thick, lightly scented conditioner is packaged very simply. The packaging is very simple, it is a white bottle, with a pump action top and shows the company logo in blue, making it look very sleek and like a bottle you may see at a barbers or a hairdressers.

I for one will be seeking out the shampoo to match the conditioner and would recommend this product as an everyday product of as part of a set for a Christmas gift.

SensatioNail Rose Gold Glitter Gel Colour Nail Polish (RRP: £12 7.39ml) is a beautiful coloured gel nail polish that doesn’t chip (has to be used with an LED lamp to cure). The packaging includes a very handy guide to using the nail polish. The rose gold glitter nail polish looks stunning and lasts for up to 2 weeks of ‘dazzling damage-proof wear’. A perfect stocking filler and present for anyone who likes to have gel nails.

All of the products in this beauty bundle cost approximately £72 but are of great value and will make great Christmas presents. I highly recommend all of these products.
