Sylvanian Families Starry Point Lighthouse Review

The Sylvanian Families Starry Point Lighthouse was delivered quickly, very well packaged in its box wrapped in large bubble wrap within another box, to which I thought was great as this prevented its presentation box from any damage during transit. I got this for my 4-year-old granddaughter, I was pleased that on opening it only took approximately five minutes to unpackage as well as to set it all up, as we all know little ones want to play with their new toy straight away.
There is an instruction leaflet enclosed for the light and further instructions printed on to the box itself to follow, clearly showing where and how to put the parts together, these were easy to understand.
The lighthouse is made from a strong sturdy plastic with no sharp edges, it has a front door that opens and closes and pretty shell shaped steps which can be spiralled round leading up to the next floor level. It requires 3AAA batteries (which are not included) these are very well secured within the top of the lighthouse. The lighthouse lights up when the switch is switched to on and a slide is inserted to the slot on the rear of the lighthouse, when the top of the lighthouse is removed it turns into a ceiling projector with a choice of starry night scene, fireworks or balloon shadow in the moon, there are clips either side to lift up or down to focus the projectors view, a bit fiddly for my granddaughter to use but gave me an excuse to join in. There are a bundle of accessories included as well as a mini story book, the figures are not included but can be easily purchased along with other items from the collection of Sylvanian Families.
My granddaughter has had hours of play and enjoyment from this, I would say it is really good for a child’s imagination and love the added sensory attribute with the projector, this would make a lovely gift for Christmas.
