Wonderfalls in set in Niagra Falls, USA and is about a 24 year old woman, Jaye Tyler (Caroline Dhavernas), who has a dead end job in a souvenir shop with no prospects of going achieving anything and living up to her families expectations, all of who are high achievers. Her life suddenly changes when she finds a quarter on the floor and throws it into the wishing pond and then starts to hear inanimate animal objects (anything with a face) talking to hear and telling her what to do. The cryptic messages she receives lead her into madcap adventures and interfering in other people’s lives, and not always for the better.

Having never heard of this TV show before when I received it I was not sure what to expect but was surprised by a very good, witty, quirky and intelligent comedy series. With talking lions, monkeys, fish and other inanimate animals leading Jaye into situations that she clearly has no interest in being in makes it very enjoyable viewing.

The writing is great with witty one liners and jibes and the acting is superb. This is definitely a must-see series.

A surreal and funny comedy. Highly recommended.
